I prefer mono on my casting reels. I'm sure some will disagree but it seems to cast better for me. I also only use baitcasters for spinnerbaits and top waters with mh power Rods so I don't mind the stretch.

The new legalis looks like a very nice reel as well. Aluminum frame digi gear and air rotor for $60 sign me up.

And to add. In the last cursive thread. I stated an example of being someone's boss and writing a list/note in cursive and a person coming back to me to tell me they can't read it. See bosses write in cursive. They must be lazy people!!!!!

Ahhhh my panties are in a bunch. This burns me up though. I work 2 jobs pay for everything in cash etc etc. why am I considered lazy because I write cursive? We're the founding fathers lazy? Maybe I dunno didn't know them. Maybe I should start writing in block letters like I was writing for a 3 year old. It really burns me up when people say cursive writers are lazy. Ok rant over.

Hey Matt. That is a real nice first bc setup you have there. 1. As you get better and learn to adjust the brakes and for lure weight you should be able to back off spool tension. 2. I don't think you need to feather the spool. Maybe put more tension on you line when you spool up. Though something I have my thumb on the spool when burning the bait back so 50/50. 3. You could do that or engage the reel and let the lure fall. I think that's up to you. I'm not a big bait cast user but hopefully that helps and someone will come along with additional advice. There are two types of resumes. Chronological and combination/skills. Chronological is pretty self explanatory. With a skills resume you are looking to break your skills down into 3 sections. Say mechanical, administrative and sales/customer service. You want to try and highlight some accomplishments under each. I know what a salesperson does why are you better than the next guy? Quantifying accomplishments does this. After the 3 skills sections you list your work history. You can break this down by listing relevant and recent experience. The major draw back to this type of resume is it doesn't say what you did at each job. Positives are you can arrange the skill sections as they relate to each position and you are highlighting your most relevant experience at the top(people don't want to dig for it). It's not a bad idea to have both types of resumes and experiment and see what gets you more interviews. The resume is the worm and you hook them at the interview. Keep your answers brief and to the point. Anytime you discuss a negative you need to immediately follow with a positive. Obviously it's very important to research the company and have a few questions prepared. My fall back is why do you enjoy working at xyz company. People love to talk about themselves. That question also might give you an insight into wether the company is a good place to work. I really would not stress the gap to much. Like everyone else said be honest and recognize your limitations. Part of that means applying for positions which you know your are capable of performing. I really like the article below to use as a baseline. Anytime I have an interview I read this article and make an outline of a message I want to convey and do a mock interview. I had 2 of them. Within 2 months or so the rubber ring that keeps them attached; dried up, cracked and fell off.

Top waters or jerkbaits 5/8 or under i like to throw on medium/fast spinning gear. When I fish these baits the water is stained to clear and I like the longest cast I can get.

I'm going to have to disagree again. It's been probably 4 years since I've had to write a paper but when writing a story or opinion paper I found my thought process to be clearer putting pen to paper. So much so that I usually wrote rough drafts and typed the final. The type writer was invented in 1886 almost 130 years ago. One would think if cursive wasn't still useful in some capacity it would have been phased out a long time ago. Finally wow 5 pages on cursive, I find that pretty darn funny on a fishing website.

Scott, if you don't mind what do you use for reamers?

I think my first combo was probably some sort of spin cast rod and reel combo. Around 12 my dad bought me a nice daiwa spinner to put on an ugly stick and a fire tiger rapala crank. I proceeded to catch a nice little pike and throughly enjoyed watching my dad tangle with that thing with a small pair of forcepts. Lol a great memory from my childhood.
