Not a huge soccer guy but I've been coaching a youth lacrosse team with my dad since they were in 5th grade, its amazing to see them improve so dramatically. they just played their last middle school game today. Got choked up at the end of game speech, time to start over with a new group next year.

In my experience the gills never stop, only get a little less active in the cold. I have the best luck using a slightly bigger than you would think hook, a size or two up from what you would think to use because our massive georgia gills like to swallow everything in sight and puttin half a night crawler on there hooked about four times so theres still an around two inch pieces of worm hangin off of each side. I love me some fried blue gill or crappie. Dont get too many catfish since i have about as much patience as a toddler

Ive caught bluegill on just about every smallish lure i own, they are super aggressive feeders and will gladly take any crappie lures you happen to throw by them.

Always have the stupid things biting my line when im catfishing. Feel the tug, get the line tight and SNAP. very frustrating, but they are a cool fish

I really cant remember not fishing. Theres pictures of me when i was around 2 catching koi out of my aunts pond with a paper clip tied to a stick with sewing thread.

i caught a pair of underwear in my buddies neighborhood lake. they were relatively new looking and as far as we know, we are the only people that ever even get close to the lake. very odd

Its a learned skill to set the hook in a yak. Usually in a kakak I try to keep my rod tip lower than i normally would. Hook sets for me usually go straight up or sweeping to the side and up. Just be prepared for the yak to move on a hard hookset,

I go to atleast one every year, collect the freebies and talk to every one you can. A lot of times if you go on the day of the weigh in you can talk to all the guys that didnt make it to the final day and learn a lot. Plus i get my new hats for the year
