  1. I've found something kind of weird thats been working for me lately on a few local ponds that I fish. When the wind blows really hard I can see the wake of fish moving close to the surface, ive been casting a popper in front and slightly past the wakes and working it REALLY hard to the fish and getting some killer reaction bites. Any one else ever tried it?
  2. Zoom 7.5 inch curly tail worm in tequila sunrise color. Ive caught fish on it swimming, dead sticking it, jiggin it. It's my go to worm. You cant go wrong with a pumpkin colored trickworm either.
  3. 1.5-2 pounds is gettin big, with that being said theyre not all that rare in some of my favorite ponds.
  4. I like catching bigger fish but I'd rather catch a few dinks than nothing at all.
  5. anything over 10 would be a trophy for me, but it would have to be a replica mount. i would never kill a fish that big.
  6. i use 10lb braid for panfish and have never had any problems with breakage. I'm thinkin its the line.
  7. i got away from using a bobber a long time ago, if i fish nightcrawlers its always weightless on the bottom. I've found that if there are fish there, theyll pick up a worm off the bottom.
  8. looks really nice comin through the water
  9. I like them but prefer owner. I feel like with owner hooks, i dont have to set the hook as hard but thats just me.
  10. I've had great success swimming finesse worms
  11. Not every one throws all their fish back here. I keep a few every now and then for dinner and I know a lot of other people that do. I think the reason that you don't hear about catch and release in Canada too much is because sport fishing isn't as big up there. Most people that fish over there fish to fill the freezer
  12. I use a piece of rebar, ground to a point on one end and the other end bent around and welded in place so it's a loop with a rope tied to it on an anchor trolley. But I don't know how well that would work in the sand
  13. I tend to set the hook the opposite way the fish is takin off with it, like with a jig or plastic worm. With anything else I don't really think about what I do, I'll have to actually pay attention next time

  15. 3-4 lbers are pretty normal but it seems like theres a 7+ in every lake i fish that i see spawning every spring.
  16. I just leave em in the bags they come in, so much easier to deal with IMO
  17. T-rigged soft plastics, usually a 7.5 inch twirltail worm.
  18. always a ton of fun on light tackle, ive caught countless bass on some small panfish crankbaits.
  19. Thats a hawg! the things i would do to catch that...
