Lock Your Doors
Very true. Cops already said they really can't do anything unless they catch them in the act.

Lock Your Doors
We have a Ring doorbell and flood light camera. It's unbelievable how many people in our Ring Neighboorhood Group post videos of people "breaking into" their cars that they have left unlocked. Even had cars stolen because their unlocked car has a spare key in it somewhere. It's simple to lock your car door when you get out of it. That or don't leave anything valuable in it. In our area, especially in the warm months, we've had young punks going drive way to drive way checking car doors to see if they are unlocked. They are pretty brazen too, not covering their faces or wearing gloves or anything. In the county just to the south of us we had a homeowner with a gun confront some of the thieves and he was shot at as the thieves retreated, so that's pretty scary.

What rod for wacky rigged senkos
My daughter has caught bass with a wacky senko on her Barbie pole. It’s a pretty forgiving fishing technique that doesn’t need specialized gear.

What rod for wacky rigged senkos
Y’all are overthinking things if you need a specific rod setup to throw a wacky-rigged stick worm.

Springs?
There's a spring that is on the edge of a river we fish. During high water you'd never know it's there other than water is much clearer than the surrounding water. During low water times though you can pull your kayak right up on it and literally surf the water coming out of it because it's flowing out so much. I've measured surface temp differences between the river and where the spring comes out and there's a 15-20 degree temp difference in the summer.

Garmin vs Lowrance
Love my Garmins when I get a chance to use them. 73sv at the console and 53dv at the bow.

Kayak clothing
On my ocean kayak I use their brand of self bailing scupper plugs for the holes under my seat. They have rubber gaskets that don't let water in, but when you are moving the pressure differential of the water moving under the kayak kind of sucks the water back out if any does end up getting in. Can get them for about $12/pair on that A-Z selling site. I leave the other holes open and when you paddle they will self drain. Mind you the more weight you put in the kayak the deeper it will sit in the water and more water will come up the holes when you are sitting still. People use plugs when they are weighed down or if the water is choppy and it's coming up through the holes and not draining. A bailing sponge can help in those situations to keep the cockpit dry if plugs are being used. I do wish my kayak seat was raised up off the floor of the kayak like some of the newer kayaks with the fancy lawnchair seats so my rear does get wet sometimes when the plugs don't drain like they should. Not a big deal as I don't usually kayak in colder weather and when I do I wear some rain gear pants. In the summer months I usually wear the nylon fishing pants that dry quickly and I don't really worry about getting wet. For footwear I wear a pair of Teva water tennis shoes that I don't care if they get wet.

Line recommendations
Can't go wrong with P-Line CX Premium or Yo-Zuri Hybrid for both spinning and casting. When I'm not using braid those are my go to lines.

changing trolling motors need new bracket
When I took the MG off my Tracker to put a MK on I could use 2 of the existing holes but had to drill or open up the others to make the bolts fit through. I know the terrovas have different mounts so you may be good. I have a Maxxum.

Swindle and Palaniuk coming back to BASS
Don't take my remark as I'm not against keeping fish as I'm not. I had a grand time bringing home a mess of walleye and pike on my trip to Canada this past summer. I just think that there really is no point to catching a large fish and hauling it around in a hot livewell for hours only to release it in a different part of the lake. I know that mortality rates of caught fish are rather low and the pros do everything they can to try to keep them alive, but why even risk the fish's health or redistribute their numbers to the weigh in spot if it's not necessary. BASS has even proven it with BASSfest that it can be done very effectively even in the best 5 format.

Swindle and Palaniuk coming back to BASS
People that don't like the BPT or MLF don't like change. Is the format for everyone, nope. It's just different than any other fishing tournament that has ever existed before. With new technologies popping up every day I'm sure it's only going to get better with coverage, the way they weigh in, etc. Does the MLF format need tweaking? Probably. Catching a ton of small bass isn't going to gain them many good ratings as that's not fun to watch. I always enjoyed watching the MLF cup shows when they first started and someone would be catching a crap ton of small fish only to lose to someone that started getting bigger fish to bite. With the introduction of the "Heavy Hitters" tournament I think that will change things around. It may make them go after the big fish bite instead of focusing on the dinks. One idea I have they need to implement, since they like to do the mystery location thing in the cups, is to make the format a mystery or a random thing where one day they are fishing for the biggest 5, still with the catch-weigh-release format of course, and the next day all fish are weighed. That way it would keep them on their toes and they couldn't just focus on finding a lot of small fish during practice. The one thing I don't like about what G-man said is about keeping the fish. If he wants to keep 5 fish he should be able to whether he's weighing them or eating them. I think as ambassadors to the fishing world they should do every thing they can to optimize the conservation of fish, especially big fish, if they want future generations to be able to have quality fishing opportunities. Taking big fish off beds or locations they are adept to so they can be weighed in elsewhere on the lake is a pretty big detriment to the fish population if you ask me. Unless they are going to return all the tournament fish back to where they caught them I think the MLF CWR format is way better than the standard tournament format.

Zoom Zlinky- New Stickbait Contender?
Eh, it's a stick worm. I'll stay with using BPS Stick-Os I can get in a bag of 30 for the same price on sale. I'm surprised this is Zoom's first venture into the Senko style stick worm.

Hooks for Stanley Top Toad?
I've never used the double hooks on my toads. I use a VMC Drop Dead 4/0 1/16oz weighted hook for my toads though. The weight keeps them upright so the hook point is on top of the toad.

Ultra finesse/ice fishing baitcaster
I would think that any baitcaster would work for vertical presentations then if you loosen the spool tension knob enough to let the bait fall freely.
-
Ultra finesse/ice fishing baitcaster
Can I ask why you would you want a to use a bait caster for ice fishing? Spinning reels are much more applicable for vertical presentations.

"Different" wacky rig band - who knows the name?
I use Goody hair elastic bands from Walmart. They come 75 in a pack for a couple bucks. Double them over to make an X and put your hook under the X. Works great. And a lot cheaper than O rings. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Goody-Ouchless-Clear-Polybands-No-Metal-Gentle-Hair-Elastics-75-Ct/10319772

One of the worst lines I have ever used.......
Actually the two worst lines ever are P-Line Fluoroclear and Berkley Vanish. Both horrible lines.

Snell or no snell and worm weight or flipping weight.
Snell knot is going to kick the point of the hook out into the fish's mouth better than a palomar will.

What’s your biggest River smallmouth?
Mine is in my avatar also. 4lb 7oz and was about 21.5” long. Choked a buzz toad in the middle of November about 4 years ago.

Gambler Or Bullet what's your thoughts.
Fastest boat I’ve been in is my uncles Z521L Comanche and it does about 64 with me and him and all fishing stuff loaded down on flat water. That’s plenty fast for me. His friend’s Nitro Z21 with a 300 on it does 73 and they use it during tournaments they know they need to make long runs on to get to the fish. They’ve won tournaments because they’ve used the faster boat and have gotten to the “spot” because they were 10mph faster than the other boats in the tourney.

Do you prefer a better graph on the bow or console?
I have my bigger 7" Garmin at the console, and a 5" at the bow. I have them linked where I can mark structure and such on the side scan when I'm on the big motor and it will put a pin on the map on the small bow map so I know where to go when I'm fishing.

What is this lure?
Looks like a Bass Pro XPS bargain bin jerkbait. Maybe an older one because I'm not seeing that color on their current website.

You did open yourself up to this on a public forum.

Can't believe I'm asking this but how do I fool my wife? LOL
I don't know if I could be in a relationship where I couldn't spend the money I've saved for things. Sounds like a control and trust issue to me. If she has an issue with what you spend your hard earned money on then maybe it wasn't meant to be. Now if you are spending money you don't have and above your means, then that's a problem and you should probably take care of your bills before buying fishing gear. But it sounds like you've socked some money away for this so that shouldn't be a problem.
