  1. Probably one of the best ways to catch Missouri stream smallmouth is a tube. We rig them with internal tube jig heads weedless usually, but I've had a lot of success with pegged t-rigged tubes also. We like the BPS 4" tubes the best.
  2. I don't think it mattered. Put another D-lineman up there and they would have just ran around the outside. Stack the box with 8, and they'd pass...it was clearly a matter of the Auburn offense being better than the Mizzou defense. And on the other side of the ball, while the Auburn D wasn't that great, it did stop Mizzou on quite a few important drives and force punts...
  3. The thing with smallmouth is they can be the lightest shade of brown one second, get mad and turn the darkest shade, almost black, and then back. They can really change their color to adapt to their surroundings as well as their mood at the time.
  4. My buddy and I both have that finder on our kayaks, it works well for what we use them for.
  5. I would look into the Jackson Cuda also...they are a great flat water kayak that probably has one of the best seats for a kayak, and they are stable to stand in.
  6. Trout fishing is a different beast. I tie direct for all my trout fishing because of that reason. The baits/lures are a lot smaller (esp files) and they need to have a lot more natural movement without a clip/swivel getting in the way or weighing them down.
  7. The Cardinals need to get the bat off their shoulders and swing it a couple times...So many called strike three's the past few games...
  8. I have one, but I wish it was about half the size it is. Weighing in at right around an ounce, it's a big big bait. It does cast a country mile, but man it's big. I had a fish blow up on it the 2nd cast I made with it but came up empty on the other end as the fish completely missed the hooks. Makes a lot of commotion in the water and it's nice to be able to stop and start it without it sinking like a standard buzz bait.
  9. I personally use snaps on all my lures, doesn't matter what they are. There are a lot of people on here that say that it's sacrilege and you won't catch any fish doing it that way, or that you'll lose sensitivity between you and the bait, but I've never had any problems with catching fish using snaps...It does allow me to change lures a lot faster without having to retie every time though.
  10. I bought a couple pair from http://www.fishgillz.com when they were buy one get one free. Nice lightweight glasses and they also float.
  11. My future boat will most likely be an aluminum deep-v to make my better half happy. This brings a new player to the field to choose from...

  13. I use P-Line CX Premium and I really like it. Almost as much if not more than Yo-Zuri Hybrid. It seems to be more manageable and doesn't curl as much as Yo-Zuri does, at least for me...
  14. That's all my wife likes to use...And she usually out fishes me when she's using them!!!
  15. Not a canoe, but in my kayak I typically take 2 rods. A 6'6" medium power spinning rod with 8lb PLine CX premium for fishing jigs and craws on the bottom. The other is a 6'10" medium heavy casting rod with 10lb Yozuri Hybrid for topwater and spinnerbaits. I used to take all my tackle until it became too much to bear, now I pick and choose what I need to take for the particular water I'm fishing, and I only take a small tackle bag anymore, the rest, mostly all my plastics in the bags they came in and some larger tackle trays with cranks in them, I put in a milk crate in the back. As for a camera, I use my cell phone in a plastic ziploc baggie that I keep in my PDF vest pocket.
  16. Just gotta say one thing in this thread at this point in the season. The only 4-0 team in the SEC right now that isn't named Alabama is MIZZOU! Too bad that will end soon with SEC play starting soon...lol...
  17. The Missouri Department of Conservation will come out and shock the lake to let you know what's in it. They will also guide you on how to make it a better fishing late too. Here's a good manual they have produced about how to take care of a small private pond http://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/resources/2010/05/mopondhandbook_2011.pdf

You know that you can kill three apps at a time with a three finger swipe up right? A lot faster if you ask me. No more having to make the icons wiggle and trying to hit the ones you any to kill and not hitting the ones you don't.

Yeah, I realize that now. My background is a picture of my daughter's feet when she was born, hence why my folders are peach/pink colored... According to CNET.com 7 best things about iOS7: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-57603565-233/the-7-best-things-about-ios-7/ 7 worst things about iOS7: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-57603765-233/the-7-worst-things-about-ios-7/ 7 unexpected things about iOS7: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-57603986-233/7-unexpected-features-in-ios-7/ The compass as a level is kinda cool...
  20. I wear my breathable chest waders with some warm wicking clothing underneath, and hope I don't tip...
  21. Red hooks are supposed to imitate a bleeding fish, red line is supposed to disappear in stained water...Things that make you go hmmm....
  22. If they would come in this color I'd buy some https://basspro.scene7.com/is/image/BassPro/693942%5F7547?
  23. Who here uses them? I do What kind and size do you use? Usually 4" Bass pro tubes, but there are a of different brands that work well How do you prefer to rig them? With an imbedded lead head tube hook with it rigged weedless, also texas rigged with a pegged weight. Do you add scent? Usually, no, but my buddy soaks his in scent Spinning or casting rod? What line? Either, and usually 8-12lb copolymer line.
  24. I'll have to add that I mainly fish from the bank where carrying more than one rod would be an inconvenience, and also from a kayak, where space becomes an issue on carrying more than 2 rods. Being able to unclip one bait and clip another on quickly while in current can make a big difference when you are floating past a good hole on a river.
  25. I 99% of the time use a snap (no swivel) and I've never had a problem with them or catching fish with them on there. The ones I use are bulk snaps from ebay too so they are nothing special.
