  4. went to try 2 new spots, me and two of my buddies and we caught one fish in 2 days. Water temp is still in the 48-49 range, still too cold
  5. They cancelled the 2nd day of tournament, we did not end up going

  7. It was 23 when I launched the boat air temp
  8. 48_52 depending on the area
  9. well i hate these reports, thursday went from 6-130 wind 12-18 mph out of the south was brutal but the new basscat did great. loaded up without a single bite......i put in at north toledo bend state park ramp to try to start preparing for a tournament. i threw texasrigs, spinnerbaits, squarebills, rattle traps, umbrella rig. i fished la nana, san miguel, martinez cove? (northwest of chicken coop) wit no luck. the water with the south wind looked like chocolate milk everywhere except the coop, it was dirty but not as dirty as the rest of the areas i fished. i know the water up north is dirtier than where im at in six mile but it was horrible, is this normal up there? any insight to fishing north of pendelton bridge is welcomed at this point........................i dont have that much time on the water as i used to with the wedding coming up, the next time i hit the lake will be for the tournament, i will be white bass fishing with the fiancee though since i promised her...............lake house is almost finished got all the flooring down, all thats left is cabinets, tape and float sheetrock, and put up the rough cut wood......hopefully its done before the spawn, but i have it to where i can stay in it for now!
  10. Welcome Henry to the world of competitive bass fishing.......don't always catch em, gotta start planning for the next one. Try to learn something from this one
  11. Yes read all the pages, get you a 7' med hvy rod and a reel. I recommend lews at academy for 99$ and a bucoo or vendetta rod for 79$. This is a all around good rig starting out, save some money and get something decent to start with if you can
  12. I have 4 colors of worms I fish with : watermelon red, red bug, red shad, junebug. 2 lights and 2 darks, I also use a big heavy wire hook that acts as my weight also, sometimes a little lead 1/32 oz if it is windy. with all that said the red shad worm is a senko brand color I only buy the yamamoto's, the rest are zoom trick worms. You can try doing the tails with chartreuse spike it, but I find you get more perch, bluegill bites on it and setting the hook leaves you with half a worm.......
  13. Cover water with a shad colored rattle trap until you find them, then slow down with a weightless texas rigged trick worm in that area. Find the grass the fish will be staging on the outside and inside grass edges fattening up chasing shad
  14. Merry Christmas, hope y'all are staying warm out there!
  15. Merrry christmas! I think the cherry bomb was a bust last year, but had good marketing imho.......
  16. Just got off the water, not a bite between me and Dad......fished housen, mill creek, Sandy creek, six mile......beautiful day and got to spend time with my dad, so it was a successful day. Threw jig, trick worm, Texas rig
  17. and to be honest i cant afford to fish with anything else, i dont know if its the rods or me but i break 4-7 rods a year fishing. ship them back which cost 5 bucks at the post office and within 2 weeks you have a new model rod even if the rod is 5 years old, you get the current years model, i just got new cumara maroon rods warranty exchange, cant wait to put them through their paces. i had a 7'7 flippin stick i broke and they sent me their 7'11 flippin stick (maroon) it is half the weight.......
  18. I go with the Shimano rods, I use Shimano cumara for feel techniques and Shimano crucial for moving baits. Best rods for the money and by far the industries best warranty......
  19. Ill bring my boat, it stays at six mile.....
  20. Im in too depending on work schedule
  21. Get the rattle traps and wacky worms ready!
  22. Me and the girl friend are going duck hunting this weekend for the first time, should be interesting........sounds like you been doing good fanatic......
  23. Anyone braving the cold fronts this week or is everyone hunting?
  24. I got on the lake around one o'clock, no bites, fished housen and six mile north coves, around the edge of deep grass. Bass cat did great in the rough water in very impressed! Crankbait and 1/2 oz. t-rig. Better luck next time!
  25. Put in at twin dikes, fished buck bay, needmore point, the dam and some points around the launch since the win was blowing so hard before the front got here, didn't catch much, only few I caught were on a t-rig 1/2 oz junebug worm, nothing on moving baits.....threw a frog around a bit in farmers cove with no luck....... anyone do any better? Normally I fish around the 147 bridge area, branching out and trying to fish different areas is frustrating at times........I haven't got to spend as much time on the late lately because of work
