Two Of Our New Rage Craw Colors!
Nice, looks like i'll be adding to the collection. Buying plastics has helped me understand women better. When the fiance is looking at nail polishes and she has about 1000 at home in a plastic tub but still has that urge to pick up "that" color, now I know. Gotta have it!

50# Braid Kinda Acts Like A Sail
How tight do you have your drag set? You can prevent some digging in with the braid if you loosen your drag a little more than if you were using a mono/fluoro. If you're fishing dense weeds or worried about the fish hanging you up, just use your thumb to give the added resistance to keep it up in the water where you need it to be. I use 20 and 30 lb braid on a few of my BC's and I have eliminated a lot of digging from this. Give it a try.

First Smallmouth!!
Welcome to the addiction. I too love fishing for the brownies. If you want to have a go at small mouth try the Fox river if you can't get out on L.Michigan.

Hot Dogs
Hot dog will break in half to easily unless you're eating some very strange stretchy hot dog. A hot dog is strange enough as is. Doesn't hurt to try I suppose. Let us know the results.

Red Eye Shad-Cabelas
Hi guys, right now Cabelas has a select color range of 1/2oz & 1oz SK Red Eye shad for 1.99 each. That's a deal! I grabbed some but might go back to clear house. A few jerkbaits too, same price. This was at Hoffman Estates IL location so apologies if it doesn't apply every where.

He Said "i'll Be Back."
Yea Expendables is the melting pot of the 80's action heros. I've seen the first one where he made the short cameo. Some of the guys in there had no business sharing the set. This is strictly an Arnold flick. But i'll probably watch Expendables 2 as well.

Life Vest Suggestions....
If you spend the money on an inflatable, wear it. Being that you fish in a very small boat, I'd wear it and that is your most comfortable option. If you're just going to throw a life jacket in the boat, just to have it there, get a standard vest style from Cabelas or Bass Pro for 20 bucks. I would get a square too, you can use it to sit on but you never know when you'll need it. I keep both in my boat. I'm sure you'll get all types of opinions here so good luck.

Not My Thing, But........
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. Dollar bills and 5's usually catch them. A $20 up in the air is a for sure bite. lol sorry I had to.

Yugo 59/66 Sks
Guys, The TAPCO conversion kit is 922 Compliant. http://www.tapco.com/products/sks/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=36 The magazine is 3 parts itself, most likely assumed it's only 1. I mentioned that it was TAPCO in the beginning so that this wouldn't turn into a compliance debate. I appreciate the concerns on it but I was just looking for extended modification advice or seeing if someone else has a similar set up. I don't hunt nor do I bring this gun to ranges. I only shoot it out on private property far from houses/people.

Critique My Resume
Jason, Go back through this forum of resumes and find the ones of the guys who are not in College yet, and read the advice given to them. There is a lot of great responses and "eye opening" advice given. My short response is keep your love and ambition for fishing, but focus on College first. Collegiate Bass Fishing should be a goal for you right now if you're very serious about making a career out of it. If you're simply looking for sponsorship right now to fish your local tournaments, you're in a list of 1000's of others. Find a way to make yourself stand out from the rest. It's up to you to figure that out. You need to sell yourself to a company so they become interested in using you as a sales tool. Nothing stated from the above stands out other than you're a young tournament bound fisherman. Seriously, think about college bass fishing. It's something I wish I could go back in time and pursue. I'd give a lot to get that chance again.

Top Ten Soft Plastics . . . Please Add Your Own
There are so many plastics out there it would be unfair to even make a list from my end without having tried so many. I think 10 plastics is enough variety to cover all aspects of your fishing so I'm going to just give you 6 of my favorites. 1. Havoc Pit Boss (flip/pitch) 2. Senko/Yum dinger (wacky/t-rig) 3. Rage Shad (topwater) 4. Rage Craw (t-rig/rage rig/jika/Mojo) 5. Zoom Super Fluke (jerk bait) 6. SK Coffee Tube (tube rig/Mojo) These are 6 plastic setups if I could only fish plastics I'd get by on.

Lipless Crankbaits
x2 I don't buy any other lipless crankbaits really. These are the best in my opinion. They always produce fish for me.

Umbrella Rigs
Hey UW, yeah I knew you can do the modified A-Rigs. I was just speaking on the true 5 hook A-rig. I was actually going to try out the 3 bait rig this fall if I get around to it. Are you throwing it up in Vilas? How's it been going for you if so? I haven't fished up that way for a few years. Palmer, T-foot, Big St Germaine, Lilttle St Germaine are the lakes I've fished up there.

Buying A Frog Rod Any Suggestions?
7 to 7'6 MH/ fast action for me. Nice tip for chucking an array of frogs. Good backbone for the thick stuff. Fast tip will allow the effectiveness of the open water froggin. Its what works for me

Nice fish! Bet that was fun to haul in.

#test Question In Bulk
# Test would entirely depend on what and how you are fishing. 12 to 17 would be suitable for most baitcasting outfits, where as a spinning reel 6 to 10lb...but again, kind of need to know your intentions before anyone can help you narrow your selection.

Yugo 59/66 Sks
Thanks, I am aware of it. The conversion kit is completely compliant as is now. For any further modifications I'm not sure where that would put me, I'll have to read up again if I plant to add anything else. Thanks for the reminder.

Umbrella Rigs
I don't fish A-Rig myself because it's not legal in WI where I fish mostly....but from what I've read and knowledge I have gathered, it sounds like it's a hot item to throw in the fall when shad start to school up tight and the bass start to feed really heavy. So that time is approaching fast. You should try it out if you can throw it legally in your state. It's not legal everywhere so make sure you check your rules/regulations. I'm not familiar with OH laws.

Yugo 59/66 Sks
Hey just wanted to share my little project gun. It's nothing fancy, just a Tapco conversion on a Yugo SkS. I kept all the original parts if I want to restore it but this gun has no history, it was brand new which is why I chose to convert it. My father has a Chinese SKS that was used in Vietnam so at some point in time I will have that one too. This gun is a blast to shoot, only downfall is it is heavy. The conversion shaved maybe a pound. But I had to strip it completely and clean out all the cosmoline...which I'd rather never do again. It was a pain. I need to get the Cosmo out of the wood stock it came with...any suggestions? No..i'm not putting it in the oven. I have read a few ideas by googling but none of them sound too appealing. It's not necessary as the wood stock may never go back on it but just in case. I'm stlll planning to add and optic, most likely a red dot. I've read too many reports about scopes not holding zero on these unless the scope is drilled into the stock or side and I don't really want to do that. I thought just a simple red dot would be a nice touch. They make a bipod for it but I'd have to yank the bayonet off and I kind of like it on there just for show...but I might convince myself to do it. I don't really know what else I can do to customize it more without spending loads of money on it. Any ideas?
