Subtle Slam?
I thought it was bold and clever. Both companies have their fan base, most of which probably dwell between the both. Why would it bother you if you have 0 affiliation with either company?

Does It Actually Work?
Think about this. You buy the line, you hook into a monster bass <BIGGEST OF YOUR LIFE> and your line snaps because you went "CHEAP". You will never ever forgive yourself. Spend the money on proven brand name lines that work. This isn't to say the lines you're referring to are or are not great, but why risk it? Good braid should last you multiple seasons if you don't cut it off a lot. If you're a leader type of person, that will even make it last longer.

Can Someone Id This Fish For Me?
I've caught about a million pike in my life from 6" fingerlings to 30+. Half of tht from my last weeks trip in Canada alone, lol. Never seen one of that coloration and patterning at that size. After looking at the fins i suppose it could be a juvenile pike.

Appears to be a pickerel. They have different patterning than a northern Pike

Best Lipless Crank For 5 Bucks Or Less?
RES when they're on sale. You can almost always find fishing lures/products for less than MSRP on the internet. I can't remember the last time I bought ANYTHING fishing related at full MSRP. Be patient and buy when the deals are there. The only time I ever will pay full retail is if I'm in a bind and have no choice. If and when I buy RES....i'm usually getting them in the $3.50-$4 each range. I won't do your shopping for you, but you can find these deals to if you look hard enough and there are plenty of other members here that know that's the truth. That includes all the JDM tackle you see as well.

Frog Vs Popper
R2S Spittin Wa....awesome popping frog. And to the rest, you can use braid with a popper and trebles....adjust your drag setting and you'll be just fine.

What Size Weight For Pitching Pads
3/4 or 1 oz with just a plastic. 1oz or 2 oz if using punch rig or in some super thick slop. 50 to 65lb braid. Depth wont matter once you break the surface of pads/weeds.

Spittin' Wa, Rover, Whopper plopper,S-Waver. All solid baits I use. I won't get the lip less because I'm partial to RES but I like their overall offerings.

This was from an October outing though so that'd rule out spawning sores.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid Question
I just got a package in from the bay. 12#, 3 lb spool (14,400 yds) for $44.00 shipped. I'm good for a long time and I have come to love this line. I have no experience with 15# YZ so I can't comment there but the 12# is awesome line. Super strong and a knot strength is incredible.

How To Hook A Bass On A Frog Lure
That's your main issue. Not enough backbone in most Medium powered rods for frog fishing. 1.If replacing the rod is not an option.....spool up with some 20# braid. You will see dramatic changes. 2.If replacing the rod is an option....look into a good MH/F baitcasting rod or if you prefer a spinning same MH/F. Ditch the mono if you're fishing in any sort of thick weeds. You're setting yoruself up for a heartbreak if you happen to hook a lunker.

Least Versatile Lure?
For the topic, buzzbait or jitterbug. Stupid simple baits and they either work or they don't. I will only give both about a 20-30 minute window before I swap them out.
