This is one of the annoying parts of soft plastics and pike waters. Every Smokin Rooster I've owned lost the tail to pesky pike. Hollow body swimbaits get shredded up quick too. Goes with the territory I guess. Ill take lost senkos over hollow body frogs all day....

Get a shadow box from a hobby store or craft store. Put a picture or two of the bass in there, a few fake weed/wood for decorations. And maybe just a small paragraph of the story. Some day down the road...some one in your life will cherish that. Very cool story and proof to go with it. Excellent post!

I have yet to ever double up....unless you include the time the bass caught me after 10 seconds of being out of the water. Treble buried into two of my fingers while the bass did the flippity flop attached to my hand.

I use the suction cup on the visor of my boat right now. It's ok...I would like a higher up angle though. I think in this off season I will configure a way to do that more efficiently from the back of the boat. Getting something up about head level will give a better view.

Just a friendly reminder that there is new firmware for GoPro to work with their remote app. Pretty sweet as you can view the pics and videos right on the app and delete unwanted footage too. They also incorporated a share feature for social medias too. Enjoy.

Tiny torpedos and regular size are great little baits. I have a handful of them. I like the twitch twich pause method myself. Sometimes you really just have to deadstick it and the next movement will cause and explosion. Slightly off topic: I've tried to figure this out before so I'm just going to ask here, what hooks does Heddon use on most of it's treble baits? They're really terrible in my experience but I do love Heddon baits. The hooks are super lightweight it seems but dull and very weak. Some of the baits like the Spook say they have Mustad triple grips, but none I've ever bought do. anyone? bueller?

I believe it was probably carp as well. I witnessed the same thing a couple weeks ago fishing except they were making a ton of racket...so I jut trolled past them. I could see the scales and color so I did know for sure it was carp.

Same here. I fish in horrid amounts of Eurasian milfoil and dense lily pads. Straight braid for me 95% of the time.

Panfish are strong enough to rip them off the hook if you're not harnessing it some how. If it were bass, you're setting the hook before they engulf it. If you hook through the body you need to move the hook around so it doesnt continue to pull and rip the same spot. It's best you try an o-ring or similar to get the most of your senkos

You can't measure by clicks. Best is to set it using actual weights. Sooner or later you'll know the proper setting by pulling it by hand. Drag or not, you're bound to lose a fish here or there. That's the way it goes. Dont beat yourself up over it or fishing will lose its fun in time.

I went to see The Conjouring last night. It was good, we enjoyed the movie. My fiance went airborne once or twice but she's jumpy. The story wasn't anything spectacular but the scares and creepyness was there. 3.5 out of 5 stars for me.

That's not true entirely. There are ewg style hooks for rigging weedless. Exposed is more common but not the only way to do it.
