  1. I would also think that no matter how you rig them, they will shift and move under the water anyways. I never even give it a second thought when I am rigging them and haven't noticed any difference. Maybe next time i go out i will rig specifically one way and see if that changes anything.
  2. a real saints fan or just since they started winning?
  3. i thought the same thing when i bought my commander but being that your feet are below the waterline and you can lean your legs against the gunwales, it is surprisingly stable, even without the flat floor area.
  4. i haven't watched it other than the commercials. I would have definitely done it before i had a wife and kids. I used to do solo trips all the time and i once went out for a week long excursion and only took a lighter and a knife. It was kind of fun but i did get bored after a few days. The coolest part was making the shelter, i had a pretty cool tree house that was quite comfortable given the circumstances.
  5. On the lakes that I fish that are stained but not necessarily muddy, I have caught bass every month of the year. you can definitely cover some water with them and they are very versatile. They used to be my go to bait but lately i haven't been throwing them as much as i have recently gotten back into fishing texas rigs. If i need a fish to break a skunk, it is definitely one I still reach for and it usually does the trick. They also work well as a more subtle swim jig or spinnerbait trailer.
  6. i think you need to reschedule or find another woman
  7. I always draft eagles players too and if i do draft a player in the division or anywhere really, I never play them when they are going against the Eagles either.
  8. i'll take the list now over all the rust removal I have been doing. But we all know that the final details always take longer than anticipated.
  9. Just a few more pics....got the rear cross member removed and the new one ready to be installed. I still need to prep and primer that before final mounting. I also had to chop off about 3-4" off the back of the trailer because it was pretty rusted after i removed the crossmember. I already repacked the bearings so they are ready to go. Pretty much all that is left is -attach rear crossmember -paint -wire up the lights -reinstall fenders -reinstall winch -reinstall tongue -install some sort of visibility bars -install bunks -repaint wheels (probably will wait on this one) Should be done by this week and then i will get the registration and hopefully give it a whirl this weekend on it's inaugural trip.
  10. i think it depends on the hull shape but generally the long the boat, the better the tracking.
  11. Might just be my personal experience though but you would think that working downhill would decrease hangups, I just haven't experienced it.
  12. i do it a lot because being in a kayak it is easier for me to hold position in shallow water than deep. You just have to take your time and work it a little slower and the snags are no more than any other direction. I also find it easier to maintain contact with the bait doing it this way but that could be because my skills with a jig aren't that great.
  13. looks like bait to me lol
  14. If your boat is leaking in the scuppers where they are joined together, take it back and get another boat. Unless you are carrying the boat around with a scupper cart or anchoring through the scuppers creating additional stress, this should not happen. I believe you are right on the feel free being made overseas somewhere.
  15. During the week I will cut it as early as I want, on the weekend i try not to do it before 8 but it happens. I always figured everyone has been up for 2 hours at that point
  16. And the education circle, for this round has been completed. I received my teaching license for the state of Virginia this week. Now i just need to find a job and finish out teaching summer school
  17. the other thing people are neglecting here is that just because braid "floats" it doesn't mean it will pull your baits to the top. It may float but it is not providing flotation.
  18. And don't forget to check your state regs on registration. I know most states if a boat has a motor it needs to be registered. Oh, and enjoy that thing and catch some fish
  19. Can't complain about the weather. It sounds ike your dad is interested in going so just be patient and it will happen and when it does, enjoy every minute of it I am assuming he isn't much of a fisherman but maybe he will become one and you will have a fishing buddy for years to come
  20. just sent them an email today and if i don't hear back within their 24 hour timeframe i will call. The unit is only about 5 weeks old
  21. Maybe they assumed everyone was ok since they were out walking around? Many insurance companies advise to do exactly what they did too which doesn't help the situation. I am with you though, people's health is the first thing on my mind in those situations.
  22. Here is what I am talking about.
  23. I prefer baby backs and brisket myself....but any smoked meat is a good thing in my mind
  24. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com Enough said.....
