  1. i like my 6'8"MXF. for pretty much everything. Theo nly thing it won't do well is the heavier jigs and texas rigged soft plastics. It does work well for weightless soft plastics, shaky heads, jerkbaits etc..
  2. jordan would be 5th on my list as well.....
  3. Clunn Parker Dance Houston To me you can't have someone who is not even done their career on a list like this...that and while KVD is good he hasn't changed anything about the game of fishing.
  4. As far as PFDs ar concerned you need one that is comfortable enough that you will wear it all the time. how it works with your seat is also a consideration.
  5. On a side note, the commission in your job must suck to be top in the state and not make 6 figures. I know plenty of guys who make 6 figures in car sales and they are no where near the top in the state.
  6. save your sales pitch for the interview....don't want to use it all up lol
  7. Waste of money in my mind. A $100 rod you got for $50 that isn't even the same rod now. And it will be faster as the original flex section will be shortened making the rod faster and as has already been stated, it will also be stiffer. I have a 6'6" st croix MH bait caster that i lost the tip on down to 2" to the next guide which was removed and then replaced with a tip. it is considerably more stiff and faster in action but it works pretty well for a close quarters spinnerbait or jig rod. I would say it is now a HXF.
  8. Sales rep/sponsorship goes hand in hand in a lot of industries. I don't have the experience in the fishing world but in the outdoor retail industry most of the sales reps were "sponsored" by the same companies. They got money by hawking product and got product for their own use at the cost to the company or free. The lifestyle allowed them to have plenty of free time to pursue what they wanted to do as far as the various sports go but at the same time, they brought in sales to the companies as well. Every full sponsored athlete has to put in the face time with the public and balance that with high performance.
  9. Baseball hasn't expanded in a long time really and part of their issue isn't as much not as many players as it is owners not wanting to pay for a good product. Not to mention there are a ton of different positions and specialty positions. Football i am ok with actually as there are really so many different positions available for people to play and every year a team at the bottom wins a divison, makes a run etc....
  10. I kind of thought that is what you meant but i wanted to make sure. I see a lot of people using scuppers for support and it is just waiting to fail in my opinion.
  11. Very nice..i take it you ride a Trek Spinning classes will definitely beat you up as will using a trainer. I used one a few winters ago and was in way better shape at the start of the season. You also bring up an outstanding point about stretching. it is pretty easy to do and super helpful.
  12. I would be happy to throw a bassresource.com party but my fiancee might not be to keen on it. I think the better option would be to throw the WSM in the jeep and bring it along for a meet & greet And actually if you cook a pork butt overnight and when it is done, take it and wrap it tight in aluminum foil and then in towels and put it in a cooler it will stay hot for at least 6 hours. If the VA meet and greet happens and it is in mid august or later, i will bring the gear to make it happen
  13. I grew up where scrapple was created and i will say that stuff is nasty but i know a ton of people who eat it.....i'll pass and take pork roll instead
  14. very nice!! I'll just add in to wait to see where yo want stuff before modding it. get a good PFD that you will wear and a decent paddle first
  15. I use a 22.5" Weber smoky mountain cooker. I am not a sauce guy when it come to my ribs, i prefer the dry rub on all of my smoked meats. I have thought about trying to make my own BBQ sauce though as it really isn't that hard to do from what i have researched but it takes some time to get the flavor profile you want. And i grill or smoke 2-3 times a week year round too and i am not in warm weather florida I have seen people use water heater insulation blankets on their smokers in sub freezing temps too with pretty good success. I have more issues with the wind than the outside temps. Like someone else said, it just burns a little more fuel which i am ok with and since i started using the minion method for starting up my fire it is pretty hands free once the temperature levels out after about 60-90 minutes.
  16. Not here.....smoked pork butt, baked beans (first time i ever made them from scratch and on the smoker), mac & cheese and of course cole slaw and potato salad (no pics of those as you can already see). The beans turned out really good and next time i will make them a little more BBQ flavor and a touch more spice but the pork butt may have been one of the best i have ever made.
  17. NBA has too many teams...chop out 5 and the talent level goes way up and every team has a shot to making a playoff run and we can get rid of these scrubs that make teams and make people want to play a little more since there are less roster spots.
  18. Gander mountain closed down i think about a year or so ago and greentops took their store.....short pump is probably 20-25 minutes away depending on traffic.
  19. Also what part of the James and what are you chasing, brown bass or the green ones?
  20. I use it when camping and of course when i was in college. For camping it is usually noodles cooked, drained half a sauce packet added then i cut up and put in the kielbasa i had frozen. makes for some good protein and carbs for the next day. The salt level in those things is ridiculous though....i remember making triple batches of the stuff in college

i would have to agree...the profit margin on those sandwiches has to be ridiculous too.

I believe you can get strawberry jelly which is seedless.
  24. Who knew the boy scouts sponsored the game with those ridiculous jerseys.....although, maybe since they are so tight this part of their new tolerant approach......

I would suggest contacting an attorney who knows business law and/or a CPA with the same credentials.
