Painting A Kayak
I have seen people do it and it works as long as you prep appropriately and use the right paints. http://www.wildernesssystems.com/education_portal/index/learn/paint_job_on_a_kayak/?search=true&content_type=blog& Now as far as the reason you want to do it, i don't think it matters. If yo hare that close, no amount of camo is going to help you as they see a huge floating object that blocks the light even if they can't see what it is per se, they know it is there.

How Young Is To Young For....
I understand you can do the same types of things on an iPad but it isn't as easily transported and isn't exactly the same in other ways too. Your assessment on why they will hand them out is also flawed. Standards are set in a way that does not penalize students for not having materials at home to use. Sure some kids will have more, i mean my 3 1/2 year old has his own iPad, but the teachers ensure that all students have access to what is needed to complete an assignment. Also the laptops and items that are sent home with kids around here are very limited in what they can and cannot do both from a controls standpoint and a processor standpoint. They are about as bare bones as you can get away with. Unless Apple has some super deal for schools i would doubt they make it into classrooms. The kids will have to suffer with droid based tablets instead....

How Young Is To Young For....
A cell phone and an iPad are completely different so not sure where that comes in to play. Many schools around here have laptops for students but not until they are in 8th grade i believe and the younger students use iPads in class but none take them home.

How Young Is To Young For....
Until my son is home by himself for extended periods of time he doesn't need one. I guess that age varies by person but i don't see him needing one until he is a teenager.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
I should have been more clear and said break out of his bad streak. Before his injuries he hit 33 hr and 116 rbis and i could see that same type of production again this year assuming people actually get on base in front of him. As far as the farm system goes, they have some really good talent in there but they just aren't ready for the bigs yet which is ok in a way because i wouldn't want to see them blocked because of the aging team they now have holding on to spots. It is going to be an interesting year for sure. As far as being a braves fan goes, you know this is their MO and has been for at least 20+ years. They build their teams for the regular season and last year they had the benefit of being in a horrible division. I still see them as the cream of the NL east but not because they are a dominant team but rather they are the best in an average division right now. I see the nats continue their downward trajectory too.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
As anyone knows who has seen any of my posts i am a phillies fan.....well Hamels is now out till may at least because of a "tired arm", that's never good. There are a lot of young arms in the lineup and as is the hallmark for a rueben amaro destroyed team, they are old but, and that is a big but, if they can play the entire season they could be in the hunt for a wild card....maybe. I do think Howard is going to have a breakout year after being riddled with lower leg injuries which severely limited his power as he had to swing all upper body. In the few spring training games i have watched he looks to be in great shape too. A couple of the young guys need to keep progressing like Asche and Ruf and Brown also needs to keep it up because with hamels out they are gonna need to score 5+ runs a game to compete, especially with the wreck of a bullpen they had. Part of me is holding out for the one last chance and the other part of me is saying well i hope they are all playing well and out of it by the trade deadline so they can sell off everyone and start the rebuilding process.

I Got Fat!
I have been eating way better but not quite as strict with my portion size but for the most part i am not eating junk except maybe once a week when i use the smoker for some ribs or pulled pork or brisket (which really isn't that bad for you). The weather here is turning a little bit and with daylight savings time, it will be time to get out on the road bike here soon too which i am really looking forward to this season since the last two years i didn't even ride 500 miles in the summer.

I Got Fat!
Rest week number two began yesterday for me then it will be the last 4 weeks of p90x. I haven't been great with he diet but not bad either, just not to the level they recommend. I am looking forward to the last month and then starting up p90x2 and i am going to follow the diet plan pretty strict as well which i know from past experience helps out a ton.

Kayak Fishermen - What Fishfinder Do You Use?
Any fish finder you can use on a regular boat you can use on a kayak. I have a pirahnamax something or other but would like to upgrade to at least a DI and possibly a SI if funds allow it. Just set a budget and features you want and start searching....the only concern would be is if you had some huge screen that would get in the way of paddling or fishing but that is where the rigging comes in to play. The 115x is also set up to use with lowrance i believe which should make rigging much easier.

My Shoal Bass Replica - Wow! Shipping This Week
Shoal bass is a separate species and not a smallie. One of the easier ways to tell is look at the jaw hinge. On smallies it is in front of the eye and largemouth it is behind and shoalies it is right in the middle for the most part. They are on my bucket list to catch for sure. http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/profiles/fish/freshwater/shoal-bass/

Where's Your Old Lady???
And i thought i was robbing the cradle at 8 years nice fish....

Where's Your Old Lady???
My fiancé doesn't fish but she has stated that if we ever get a boat it has to have a big enough back deck that she can lay out and read on it while me and my 3 1/2 year old fish. I offered to get her a kayak so she could come out with me and she wasn't feeling that at all so i may be in the market for a boat in the next year or two. And for the record, i am not a fan of the "old lady" term either.......to disrespectful for my tastes.

Best Fish Finder For A Kayak
Did you get the 115 or the 115x?

St. Croix Vs. Abu Garcia
I think the 6'8" MXF is the best rod in the mojo line up. I owned a veritas in the 7' MF and while it was a decent rod, it just didn't feel right to me. I did have the breaking issue you mentioned as i had 2 break in the same location but the third one i sold to a buddy and he has used it without incident for over a year now.

Need Some Kayak Advice....again
Now i will say that the native has the commander beat hands down in seat comfort. the captain's perch on the commander is like sitting on a bleacher, no back support and hard as a rock but it work because you can stand up a lot. I have a bad back and am sore at the end of the day. The native, with the seat riser is a great seat and while not quite as high as the captain's perch it is close enough. I was all in for an ultimate but i had a deal that was to good to be true when i got my commander.

Need Some Kayak Advice....again
To me on flat water nothing beats the hybrid boats unless you need the scuppers or want pedal drives. They are much easier to stand in than a standard SOT due to the raised seat positions and that your feet are actually below the waterline and not bobbing on top. You can also brace your legs against the gunnels and be rock solid. I have no issues fly casting in my commander and have never felt unstable.

What Rod To Fish A Zoom Fluke 4.25" Split Tail
I prefer the MXF not ML myself but either will work. I tend to throw flukes in nastier cover so i prefer e a little more backbone than the ML gives me.

New Daily Driver.
Is that a starwood motors Jeep? They use some crazy paint process that is basically textured but scratch proof and looks good for pretty much ever. I feel bad for whoever had to check the torque specs on all the bolts on the body and then what looks like faux beadlocks...
