  1. Pink sluggos were a go to bait for me years ago and I have since used it in other baits like the xrap was well. And rapala is hardly junk, I prefer their cranks over just about any other brand.
  2. I wonder if he can give the rest away to his family after he dies.....either way I would love to be getting an extra 20k every year even if taxes took it down to 10-12k it is still free money.
  3. I don't like interleague play at all. I think it is dumb and I miss that the only time the two leagues play is all star and World Series. It is also kind of dumb that the all star game determines who has home field in the series but it is better than alternating every year. And while I am ranting.....go back to 4 divisions with division winners only making the playoffs. Yeah yeah yeah, I know it makes the season exciting but I also don't think it's fair that a team can win the division then lose in a 5 game series.....all series should be 7 games.
  4. Buy the floatie back door..... http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=4610936&pid=1218496159997
  5. I still cannot believe we are only a few weeks away from opening day. I will say I am irritated about this whole interleague play pretty much all the time and that the phillies home opener is against the royals.
  6. Get yourself a 3wt fly rod and a casting lesson and you will have more fun trout fishing than you ever have in the past. Pick up some attractor flies like a royal wulff, hoppers etc....and you will be good to go.
  7. I am not in a place right now to get one but if there are litters later on it can't hurt to check them out.
  8. Wow....not trying to start a riot here but come on dude, I know you are only 14 but you had to tell your mom to come on here and defend your stance? One thing i will say is grow a little thicker skin and be prepared to take criticism and learn from it not defend yourself against it, otherwise you are going to have a tough time in all aspects of life.
  9. I gotta agree that education is important. With the advent of college fishing series there is no reason not to go to college because you can fish there too and earn a degree. Think of it this way.....two equal fishermen both win tournaments both are likable etc.....one has a degree in marketing and one doesn't, who do you think they are going to want to work for them? If I am doing the hiring, I am picking the guy with the degree as would the majority of people out there...... And out of curiosity what sponsors do you have and what do you do for them and vice versa?
  10. Now I will say that I like my veritas for river trips because they are much easier to see if you turtle your kayak and the rod decides to take a swim
  11. Nope I want another purebred English bulldog. I found a breeder in nc that I will definitely use when I finally save the coin.
  12. Pretty much my whole life. Started out wading cricks for smallies, then the river for the same. Went to college and got hooked on fly fishing for trout, bass and carp. About 2-3 years ago got into largemouth fishing and bought a kayak and haven't been the same since
  13. I currently have two rescue mutts. One is a lab/golden retriever mix, I think and while he is at least 9 he still acts like a puppy. The other is a rottie/chow mix who is also about 8-9 and just a big old lap dog but he is slowing down for sure. I have owned dachshunds, shepherds and a bulldog in the past and my next dog will be a bully for sure. He was awesome and loved the water and going fishing with me. I would take him out wading and he would swim alongside me and hang out on the rocks.
  14. I have seen sky blue rods for inshore fishing under the same premise of blending in with the sky
  15. Seems silly to me but hey whatever floats your boat. I mean you are standing in a boat that is huge and the fish are going to get scared because of a small sliver in the air that is black, green, white or whatever?
  16. I have heard of people just using a blot and washers on the butt of the rod but for me I would say pony up the $20 and get it right. The other thing is until you actually fish with it you don't really know how much of a problem the balance will be. I have had rods that are a little tip heavy when playing around but when fishing I didn't notice it to much.
  17. If you take it a tep further you can use the twist lock portion of those same hooks mentioned and screw them in to the nose of the hook and either run the hook through the eye or screw it all the way in and run the hook through the eye which is embedded in the plastic.
  18. I live in mechanicsville (NE of richmond) and it was all rain and a little freezing rain mixed in. As i drove to work, you could clearly see the line of ice to snow as i was driving on 295 and passed 95 it changed and now out here in the west end of richmond it is really coming down. I am guessing there are 3-4" out there already.
  19. Hence the reason i throw weightless soft plastics on spinning gear

Best of both worlds for sure.

Marketing geniuses I like the idea of crossfit but i am more of a loner when it comes to just about anything so the whole group thing isn't as appealing. I do know a couple of chicks i work with who do it and they are jacked...showed me pictures of them flipping over tractor tires and crap ala Rocky Balboa training
  22. 6 or 8lb yozuri or 6lb diameter braid. Nice lookign set up too by the way. I was looking at the new saharas myself.
  23. To me it is all about the balance in your hand on your rod. Whenever I buy a new reel I take in the rod I am going to mount it on and see how it feels.
  24. Nice job and no clue on the size since there is nothing to compare size to. Really who cares it is a good fish nonetheless . I am trying to figure out why you are using your sleeve to lip the fish though.....
  25. I have one citica sitting that I tried to clean and all myself that I can't seem to get working right that will be sent here soon too
