Camp Breakfast
I like freeze dried meals too for everything but breakfast though. As far as dinners and lunches they can't be beat even though they are pricy.

How's Your Bracket?
2 brackets with one all my elite 8 are left and the other I have 7 left and have 21 correct picks in each bracket. Should be interesting the next few days because like they say, you can't win your pool the first weekend but you sure can lose it

Camp Breakfast
Be careful with cliff bars as they take a quart of water to digest which in hot weather can really suck. I am not a big breakfast guy but usually when I am camping it is oatmeal and some Gatorade and maybe a banana. I have to make myself eat while I am out fishing though because usually it is a small breakfast a couple GU packs throughout the day and then a big dinner. I do drink a ton of water and Gatorade though all day long.

When To Move On?
Both really. I usually start by trying to pick off active fish by using a square bill or other reaction bait. Then I will move to something like a fluke or weightless plastic then I go to bottom baits like a jig, shaky head or Texas rig or all of the above. My thought is to cover all the water column and presentation types to figure out what they want. If I am lucky enough to catch one I remember where on the lay down and what presentation I was using and that is the first one I try at the next one.

When To Move On?
I will stay for a good bit of time at each lay down. I try and make sure every potential fish sees my bait at least once if not twice and then use multiple techniques to trigger a strike. I don't fish tourneys though so it may be different if I did.

How's Your Bracket?
I am doing well in my 2 brackets with one having 15 out of 16 sweet sixteen still alive and the other having 14. One I am in first and the other second and both I have the most available points left so we will see what happens.

Pond Fishing Cold Water?
You absolutely can. I have caught fish in small ponds in colder water than that for sure. Just fish a little slower and be prepared for a more subtle bite and you should be good.

The Classic Floating Minnow Baits
I caught one of my most memorable fish on a floating rapala after reading an article in bassmaster when I was probably 8-9 years old. It said to cast under some overhanging cover and let the bait sit, and sit and sit some more. Well I did just that for what seemed like an hour and lo and behold caught a 5lber. Still fish those baits to this day.

Spotts Vs Smallies
In the rivers I fish there are some spots and smallies and I say the smaller spots fight harder but once they both get above about 12" the smallie wins hands down. Now a comparison of lake spots to lake smallies I have no idea.

Would You Call In Sick To Go Fishing?
my job is pretty flexible so i can kind of go as i please as long as work is getting completed but i have been known to take a conference call either in route to the lake or in my kayak. But i would call out sick to go fish for peacocks in brazil or bonefish in florida in a heartbeat.

Made In Usa Gear?
I think we are on the same page actually and i wasn't trying to come across as disagreeing at all. From a rod perspective there are no problems at all finding a good USA made stick but reels is where i have the problems really...

Made In Usa Gear?
While i totally appreciate and buy made in the USA if possible i am not going to sacrifice what i feel is quality just to buy gear with a made in USA stamp. That being said i do support when possible with my st croix, Kistler and Sage rods which are all american made. My big issue comes with reels as i have not found a good american made reel out there. I figure even if i support a company and the product is not made in the USA i am still supporting the transportation, sales rep, retail store, support, distribution etc...all which reside in the US even if the manufacturing is elsewhere.

Nfl Owners Approve Controversial Crown-Of-Helmet Rule Change
They said that they analyzed every game in week 16 last year and I think it resulted in 3 penalties. You don't see people leading with the crown of their helmet to often for one, because you can't see where you are going. It will be a non factor in most situations but it makes power hungry, dictator ****** bag Goodel feel good about himself for making the game "safer".

The Pennants Are Flying, As Is The Trash, And Apparently There Is A Team In Houston
You know I am not super concerned about utley honestly. He plays hard every play and is a great offensive player but his defense has declined a lot over the past 3 seasons or so. That kid galvis is amazing in the field and producing offensively so far so if they can limit utleys games and keep him healthy longer without losing to much pop at the plate it will all work out. I also think utley is in the last year of his deal so who knows what that means but I do know it will be tough for me to see him play anywhere else.... I am intrigued by the o's this season too. I would love to see them win the division help to keep the stankees down as many years as possible.

The Pennants Are Flying, As Is The Trash, And Apparently There Is A Team In Houston
Brown has had good springs in the past but he seems to have shortened his swing up a bit which is helping him out. He really needs to do it this years this is his 3rd or 4th spring training and the phillies outfield spots are wide open other than revere in center. He is one of those shake your head guys though because he has the talent to be an all star caliber player but just hasn't done it in the bigs yet. I am trying real hard not to get to excited but this team feels different. It is the first time utley is healthy and in spring training since 2009, Howard is playing extremely well and there are some young guys doing a good job too. Halladay is scaring me somewhat but with Hamels and lee pitching well I am not that concerned, especially with Kendrick progressing very nicely. The bullpen has been shored up as well so hopefully they don't blow 20+ leads again this year. My comeback player is going to be Howard though. He is going to sneak up on people who think he is washed up and I wouldn't be shocked one bit if he cracks 40+ homers this year to go along with his normal 130+rbis

Cutting Braided Line?
Kids scissors or the snip tool. I like the snip because it has the retractable zinger and it stays connected to my crate with no worries of losing or forgetting it.
-
Right Track For Braid?
You will get as many opinions as there are fisherman so here are my .02. I use braid for everything including crankbaits but I do have a crankbait specific rod. I have used leaders but generally I go straight braid and color the last few feet with a sharpie if I am using hi vis colors. A lot of people don't like braid for moving baits but I like it for the added sensitivity and the ability to feel the bait more easily and the no stretch characteristics make long range hook sets more solid.

Wagon Family Car Need Advice...
I like it too but i am fan of hatchback style cars. And on a side note, MCS-you must be the biggest sports fan out there because not only do you comment on every type of sports related post, you actually make sense and have valid points which is somewhat rare these days....

Y U M Money Minnow
I tried a jig head on them a few times and i couldn't get the same action and since i liked to throw them in nasty cover areas they weren't as weedless.

Y U M Money Minnow
Same rigging here. I find them extremely effective when you are either bringing them through lill pads, they never get hung up really or if you are trying to tick the tops of a grass bed. You can retrieve them pretty slowly and still achieve great action. I also like chucking the 6" version with a 7/0 screwlock as well. Keep a tight grip on you rod though because a lot of the hits are pretty crazy hard

Go Figure
Nice job figuring them out. I know i have caught quite a few on square bills this winter in temps all the way down to 39-40. I read an article by alton Jones once and he said there are two schools of thought to cold weather; super slow or super fast and most people go super slow but there are days where super fast reaction baits just plain work.

High-Vis Line And A Marker?
I do the same thing with a shapie and while i am not sure if it has helped or hurt my catch rate it makes me feel better so i go with it. I did just switch away from hi-vis lines this year so we will see how that goes and if i switch back or not.
