Best Bass Fishing In St Louis Area
If you go to MCD web site you can look up the lakes in an area say St Louis County and it will list the MCD. I live down south so I fish Presler, Susan, & Butler Lake. Haven't had any luck at Butler but have caught bass at the others. Normally not large average size 9-12" but that's okay with me I just enjoy catching them. I did catch a #2.6 at Suson.

Budget Rod Ideas.
Don't know where your located, Denny Dennis Sporting Goods in Fenton, Mo has Oddsey rods that normally run in the $50 range for 50% off. I have several of then and really like them. I have from an ultra light to a medium in spinning and a medium casting. For the money I don't think you can beat them.

Beginner Spreadsheet
I have several apps (Android) for logging catches, trips, etc but didn't use them as it took to much time to enter a catch. The I found My Fishing Journal Widget & it takes less than 30 secs to enter a catch. The trial version will let you record 8 fish, after using it one evening I came home and bought the full version. You can also attach a photo of the nice ones. One thing I like is it uses the GPS to record where you caught the fish. Your chart your working on looks like it could come in handy especially when learning to fish or have a lapse in memory like happens to me sometimes.

Fishing From The Bank
This isn't the typical 3 minute You Tube how to video. Gene's videos are very informative and I have learned lots by watching them. The one mentioned above about bank fishing is actually a discussion with other members of the BassResource community and is filled with some very good information. I even picked up some tips and I have been fishing for awhile. It will be well worth your time to watch. It gets off track some but not for long and Gene steers it back on course. The off topic info is also very good. I'm sure I missed something and will be watching it again on a rainy day when I'm stuck in the house.

Any Experience With Bps Line Conditioner?
I buy my KVD L&L at Tackle Warehouse in bulk when they are having a sale. I have a couple of the spray bottles I just refill. Way cheaper that way. Never tried BPS's brand but did try Reel Magic no comparison.

My Son's Morning.
Wow he'll have something to brag about to his buddies for a while unless he hooks a bigger one. He's got me beat so far. :-) Nice fish!

Soft Plastic Damage
My bags with my plastics stay in the back of my truck most of the time, bed has a cover on it. A few from last year ate sticking together a little, they spent the winter in the garage. I did notice the sencos from last year are a little on the soft side & don't last long but still work. I keep my plastics in their original bags stored in 6 pack coolers, but very seldom close the top.

Spool Tension
I think k I would take it apart and clean & lube it. Sometimes new reels need servicing when you pur phase them.

Numbers Or Size...what Is More Important To You?
I just like to catch fish. Don't get me wrong I love the fight of a big fish and the challenge of trying to land it. But when the days over I want to be able to say I caught xx fish. If the LMB bite is off or I just can't find them I will break out the ultra light lures and target sunfish. Son of them put on helluva fight for their size. All fish other than crappie are returned to the water to fight again.

Baitcaster Help Your Fishing?
When I learned to use a bait caster I did it with a practice plug in the yard until I could throw it fairly well without back lashing, call it thumb training. What helped me was I reeled off maybe 30 yards of line then wrapped the spool with a piece of splicing tape (won't leave residue). This helps by preventing a back lash from getting to deep in to the spool so they are easier to get out. I also started out with #17 mono. I use my spinners more but do enjoy using my BC for things like frogs, buzz baits & spinners. I like it for the heaver stuff, but that's just me.

Your Most Productive Lure Type?
I have pretty good luck with a Ned's rig. It has caught fish for me when others weren't. Green pumpkin works best with pbj running a close second .

Sunup Or Sundown
I do most of my fishing in the evening. Being I'm a slow starter in the morning. I might get up early at times it it takes hours for me to get going so I end up fishing in the evening.

Storing Soft Plastics
X2I have a six pack soft side cooler that I use keeping them in their original bags. When bank fishing I just grab the ones I want and throw the bags in my cargo pocket or the pouch under the stool I carry sometimes. About to the point where I need a second one.

Pond Bass Fishing
In Missouri I have been having luck using Ned's rig in either pbj or green pumbkin. Recently I found a purple worm with a twisty tail g put it on the gopher jig that has been doing well at dusk. Also throw a frog around the lily pads from time to time but nothing on it yet.

Pflueger President Reels
I have several Presidents and can't say anything bad about them except they come with only one spool. Another spinning reel I like at the same price point is Lews.

Nice, Cheap, Beginner Baitcast Set-Up.
My 1st bait caster came from Wally World and was $30-$40 don't remember, but I hated it. So I took it back. Got the bug again this time I bought a Lews Tournament Pro, really a nice reel. This reel is in the $150 range. I have heard the Pro Qualifiers are good reels just never used one.

Browser Issue
Seems this is only happing on Bassreasource.com, when reading the forums for new content I will read the thread then hit the Back button to return to the topic list, as of late when I hit the Back button the 1st time it will take me to the top of the page. The next click will then return me to the list of New topics. But sometimes it will just hang and not go back at all no many how many times I click the Back button. Don't seem to have this behavior anywhere else. I have cleared the cache, history and cookies and it might work as normal for a couple of pages and return to the above behavior. Nothing has changed on my end that I am aware of using the same browser, Chromiun which is Chrome for Linux. This makes it real hard to read the new post as when you get stuck and have to open a new tab you have to start fresh again and you loose all the unread post that were new. Anybody else experiencing this issue or is it just me loosing my mind?
