  1. That was good thanks for sharing. This one was a hoot, at an USO show.http://biggeekdad.com/2013/12/robin-williams-retreat/
  2. I just go fishing, how does the magazine know when a fish will be hungry. I can't even tell you when I'll be hungry and I live with me.
  3. I've got an app that tells me the best times to fish and how good the fishing should be, it has never been as good as it claims and there's been time when it was suppose to be great and I couldn't get a bite. I fish the same 4 ponds most of the time so I know there's fish there I have caught them and returned them. So now I go fishing when ever I can no matter what the app or moon charts say. Sometimes I catch fish sometimes I don't. Normally don't go in the heat of the day this time of year. if the moon charts were right anybody could catch fish.....
  4. That's my goto knot, except for joining 2 lines, for that I use the alberto.
  5. What was your brother doing that you weren't? I have been fishing with a buddy & he was catching fish, when we were both using the same bait. His presentation must have been just a little different than mine. I have also seen the reverse happen where I was catching them and he wasn't.
  6. Great video Glen, thanks. Really like the idea about pegging the sencos.
  7. I use soft sided 6 pack coolers. Currently I have 3 full of plastics. Mine have a pocket in front which I use to store hooks for the plastic that's inside the cooler.
  8. I was using Yozuri but it can be hard to find in certain sizes and colors. Decided to try McCoys after reading about it on the forum. I liked it as well or better than Yozuri. Have since switched mainly to braid using leaders were needed.
  9. We lost a good one that's for sure, he was always able to make me laugh. RIP Robin you are missed. Heaven will be laughing now....
  10. Those are interesting thanks for the review.
  11. Better than their online price which is 20% off any Prowler Pro braid
  12. The ponds I go to I have better luck in the evening using some sort of stick bait, such as Rage-Tail Thumpers or a Shim-E fished wacky style. At times I use a Ned's rig. I have tried the other mentioned things with no luck, maybe it's a confidence thing for me.
  13. Holly crap somebody wrote a song about me...........:-D
  14. I have a lot of stuff I don't use, but will I throw it out? No as I might need to throw something different and its nice to have something different. I fish the same places a lot so most of the time I start out with what worked last time if that works I keep using it, if not I'll change maybe color of a totally different presentation. I do know this forum cost me plenty of money, I'll here about something here and will go buy one and give it a try. Many times it's a bust but then I have also found a new confidence bait. Right now it's 7" Rage Tail Thumpers. So yea I have way more tackle than I use, tackle is like tools you never know when you might need it and when the time comes it's nice to have it in your toolbox.
  15. I use the Endura Cool
  16. What a view! My dream is to have my own lake so I don't have to put up with the idiots you find on public lakes. Enjoy your new place.....
  17. Been using Rage-Tail 7" Thumpers & my best color is Junebug, the Blue Fleck that Road Warrior mentioned is pretty close but JB works better for me. YMMV
  18. When I fished on the bottom or with a bobber I liked the Ugly Sticks, didn't worry about how sensitive they were & I can't really say I knew the term when fishing. When I started fishing for Bass I fast discovered that the US was like fishing with a broom stick. I still have mine just in case, but never use them anymore.
  19. Be sure to use a swivial with a fluke to help with line twist.
  20. I like keeping my soft plastic bait in their original bags, that way I know the size, color etc. I then store the bags in soft sided 6 pack coolers.
  21. Can't complain about that one at all. Month or so I got a 2.5 lb fishing from the bank. It was in a little park pond/lake. Nice fish BTW.
  22. Bass pro has a really nice tape you can carry in your pocket, was a couple of bucks. You can also measure the handle on your rod, for instance the handle on the rod I use the most is 12" so from there I can estimate if I don't have my handy dandy tape measure in my pocket. On the boat I have a ruler on the gunal.
  23. Can't just leave a new reel sitting on the table. Put it on a rod with some line & call in sick.....
