  1. I've been catching fish the last couple of mornings on a black Jitterbug. Fish it along the bank and around cover. Seems like once the sun comes up the topwater bites slows down quite a bit though so make sure you go early.
  2. Nice fish...congrats!
  3. Nice one...good job!
  4. Sounds like a good trip to me...congrats!
  5. Good looking fish!
  6. That's too funny...I literally LMAO when I read it!
  7. That's messed up man. Sorry to hear it.
  8. Awesome fish man!
  9. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. So what I'm hearing is when the topwater bite dies, either senkos, jigs, or t-rigs around the cover in the same area where they were hitting on top and if not there, then go deeper with search baits like spinnerbaits or cranks. I'll give some of these a try next time out. Thanks guys!
  10. Ha! Everyone else says 'I bought some baits' or 'I got a new reel'. This guy says 'oh you know, picked up a boat the other day'. I think you win, draggin. Congrats on the new boat!
  11. Looks pretty sweet. I just fished a jitterbug for the first time the other day. Maybe I'll pick one of these up and see how they compare. The glowing lip seems like a cool idea.
  12. I wasn't gonna scroll down but I really wanted to see the bass. Nice one!
  13. Glad I don't have friends that catch em like that. It'd make me feel bad. Nice fish!
  14. Nice fish...got a fat little belly on her!
  15. Nice fish...sounds like a fun trip!
  16. Welcome to Bass Resource!
  17. Caught a nice one on black Jitterbug yesterday morning at Smithville Lake. Also found a jointed Rapala. Looked brand new except a hook was bent. Guess someone pulled a snag free, bent it, and then didn't feel like fixing it. Fine with me. I got plenty of hooks. Hope you guys had a good Memorial Day weekend and everyone is on some good fish.
  18. I think I'm in love! I tried my new Jitterbug for the first time this morning and the action is awesome! Thanks to everyone on here who's ever suggested a black jitterbug as their go-to topwater lure. The fish seem to like it too. I only caught 1 but I had several take a swipe at it. I hooked up with 2 others but they got off (both my fault). The one I did get was about a half hour before sunrise and it was like my 2nd or 3rd cast. It was a new personal best too but I didn't have a scale. I'm calling it between 3 and 4. What do you think? If someone wants to tell me its a 5 pounder, I'll take their word for it .
  19. Got to the lake this morning before sunrise. I was getting a ton of topwater action but as soon as the sun came up, the topwater bite slowed and then eventually died off. Any recommendations on what to throw when the fish stop hitting topwater?
  20. Couple of nice fish there!
