  1. Haha I do check, I just picked up a core and want an aldebaran so let me know if you are ever willing to part with it or any reels for that matter. I've fished the nrx and it is mind blowing, so maybe that's the one rod ive used that's better than my DX line. I haven't touched a JDM rod though since I havent had a chance to. I like the nrx but I'm a dobyns guy and the DX feels in sensitivity like a glx to me but a bit better, more balanced and lightweight IMO.
  2. Haha I use all dobyns rods and have fished with all the phenix lines and powell since I have friends sponsored by them, same for kistler and I won't ever switch from dobyns. I think you should give them a try, you may be hooked. By the way, do you fish lefty or righty? And where do you usually purchase reels from?
  3. I don't know about this article, considering I live by the delta and mother lode lakes all I need to do is tie on a TNT jig or a huddleston and hang on!!!!
  4. if you have the money to do so, then the DX series is the best you will feel in sensitivity and balance to me. I have a DX 744 with a core 51 and that thing feels like air. Oh and if you happen to get a DX and not like it, I live in fresno so hit me up and I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands...haha
  5. Maybe a champion for 249 or a savvy for 160 on the dobyns line up
  6. Yeah agreed, if you have the cash get a dobyns DX rod, that's the way to go but in your price point with those rods you listed try a savvy.
  7. Sunline flouro and seaguar is $2-6 cheaper on amazon
  8. Btw where do you fish and may I ask where and how much you got that sol for?
  9. Try a dobyns savvy 733, what's your price range
  10. Stick with dobyns. They're the best IMO
  11. 734 is all around and seems to be between mh and h
  12. I could probably pull it off. Just need my dx744 and shimano core 51 and that could cover almost all my techniques
  13. yeah I was waiting on these new swept handles to put on my cores. So excited now that they're released.
  14. Do you have to email them to place an order and how did you get the shimano knobs?
  15. Price range?, around 150 then get the curado, if you're willing to spend 200 then go with the chronarch. If you don't mind the price then I suggest the new chronarch ci4+
  16. lol the only difference in the chronarch and curado E is the color. But I agree, either go with a chronarch or if you can go with a core. I absolutely love mine and refuse to even let people touch it.
  17. I do apologize for that. It isn't garbage but the components into the reel are not as good as the e series and it is a downgrade from the e series. Just speaking my opinion and I do strongly dislike the g series and do not reccomend it
  18. I say check out the tw swimbait section on tw and you will get an idea of that it is
  19. keep the e series and save for a chronarch, the g series is garbage. Btw I'm 16 with a core and a zillion type R. Slowly saving up for that megabass reel lol
  20. Megabass Arms rod- metanium dc Megabass destroyer x7 - metanium xg Dobyns zayta - megabass is71 Dobyns zayta spinning - shimano stella
  21. It's the only havoc bait I'd use
  22. Well I placed my order and decided on the zillion type r. I got it for under $300 though since my hs club gets discounted items from tw
  23. I'm talking about the champion 735 and I don't fish righ handed reels so I can't get the 100mg7
  24. Sadly my 10lb pxx wasn't as strong. I broke off a 6lber and 5lber and I wasn't even horsing the fish. Some say it has a breaking strength of 13-16lbs though
  25. The px type r is out of the question since I don't want to spend that much on a reel. The zillion is pushing it as it is.
