  1. Did it again . This time had to visit the ER . Those Berkely Dredgers have some good hooks . I'm going to have to start using pliers to grip fish . What should I get .
  2. My retirement boat was almost twenty years old when I bought it . I updated the trolling motor , depth finders , rewired trailer lights and replaced the trailer boards . Its nice and gets complimented a lot .
  3. They should knock the snot out of largies and smallies .
  4. The lures you chose are good but your not going to catch many white bass on them .
  5. I want them to cast in front and go out of the way to give the back seater lanes to cast . Its a lot better then having them cast behind the boat and getting snagged .
  6. My big two are soft plastics and crankbaits . Other lures have their days too .
  7. Cabelas already have Dredgers on clearance . I picked up six more today .
  8. Reminds me of a time behind an island on the Mississippi river . I was with a river rat friend who lived there . He was a commercial fisherman and traveled this path hundreds of times . We was in his john boat and he had it wide open . "I know this place like the back of my hand ." he said right before hitting a stump .
  9. Yes , I picked up the slow speed 5 to 1 model .
  10. Grandpa on left . Second photo Dad.
  11. I didnt catch a lot of bass when I started but I liked bass fishing so much that I kept putting in those eight hour days . Eventually the fish started biting .
  12. I was fishing a small river and smelled dead flesh . Found this big deer by the rivers edge and cut off his head .It made a handy rod rack.
  13. I found a Jade rose , metal detecting .
  14. Thats the same route I go .
  15. Bumping this thread . Fathers day is tomorrow and I'm getting a new reel .The Ti 8 is on sale for 100 dollars plus the pro Qualifier II for 80 dollars . Help me make up my mind . It will be used as a low speed crankbait reel .
  16. It appears the word that best describes the Dredger is "impressed " .
  17. After several unsuccessful tries with other names Scaleface just popped into my head . No meaning at all . I since learned it was a female character in Marvel comics . My name in fantasy football is SlimyBottomSucker . Something I got from a crossword puzzle .
  18. If you want to be a better crankbait fisherman become a soft plastic fisherman .
  19. I have limited experience with the Dredger series but have been impressed with them . They seem to stay at their maximum depth for a long time and they reach the depth they are rated at . . They cast well and the little bit I used them , they caught a bunch of bass .
  20. I toss a marker buoy , but not on top , off to the side . If it looks like a brush pile I'll throw a texas rig to it . If its a stump or something not so snaggy , I'll usually start out with a crankbait .
  21. I have faith in all lures , some lures I have more faith in .
  22. Looks like there is not a simple way to do it. I'll just trade it . Thanks for the responses .
  23. I probably have . I dont know the correct ways to use all the jig heads and soft plastics . I have shakey heads. mushroom heads and all kinds of other heads in my box .I have heads and jigs most of you have never seen , everyone catches fish .
