  1. Yes . Big postspawn bass have been easy for me to pattern . A lot of my biggest limits have been running points for them . But the window is narrow .
  2. Hes just a jerk . Most tourney anglers are not like that . Hes probably fishing for tiny trophy and a handful of dollars too.
  3. I'm going ton have to rethink jerk baits . Even in this muddy water the top two anglers are throwing them .
  4. I like to look at his lovely wife , shes a doll .
  5. Fish in a place where there are a lot of dinks .
  6. 2 , 28 , 39 , 50 , 88
  7. Kill the lure , pause it , rip it ...
  8. In a fishery with clear stable water levels , the bass will do a lot more roaming in open water than a fishery with muddy water that floods often . I fish both and they are not the same .
  9. My brothers have kayaks , though they are not high quality fishing kayaks , , I dont like them . I have long legs and have a hard time getting in and out . The bigger more expensive ones have to be more comfortable . I have a canoe for small rivers and a plastic Bass Baby that has wheels . I fish all sorts of waters big and small . I do better in general on the smaller ones . See the background in this pic .Thats an irrigation ditch and I'm fishing out of the Bass Baby . A kayak would work great in a place like this .
  10. I dont know what bodies of waters you have to fish . Here in upper Missouri there are a whole bunch of small public lakes from thirty to two hundred acres that a kayak or small boat will work well on .These small waters harbor a lot of bass and big ones too. Some of these lakes have rental boats .All you need is a battery , elec motor and a portable depth finder . Thats what I do . .
  11. Corn is a good bait .I use it a lot . Like in bass fishing , the same lure does not work everyday , in carp fishing the same bait does not work everyday . About half the time a doughball out does corn . I usually use corn to chum the area then corn and a dough ball for bait .

Your new and a jig & craw can be difficult to fish . You might try a small inexpensive spinnerbait like the Strike king Mini King Spinnerbait . Cast it around cover .
  13. I'm not young anymore . I would have a hard time spending 4 hours in a kayak . I can fish from dusk to dawn out of a boat .
  14. Same here . 15 to 20 foot is the norm .
  15. Personally , I would pick a small boat over a kayak but a lot of people like kayaks . I do a lot of fishing from a fourteen foot Jon boat .
  16. So , the reason I havent caught a bass on a chatterbait is because I've been using Z-Man with the supplied trailer ?
  17. Thats a good tip . Interesting lure to . I love the single spin willows .
  18. Yep . A green pumpkin plastic worm tournament would be right up my alley . The next tourney could be a Beetle Spin tourney , then a Zorro Aggravator tourney... As long as they dont have a chatterbait tourney . I've yet to catch a fish on one of those things .
  19. I would take you fishing but I'm afraid there would be Aussies all over my fishing spot from then on .
  20. Check out the Beetle Spin Mullet .
  21. I use wheaties for carp . Sometimes I'll use beer , soda or juice from canned corn for the liquid . I use to have a carp recipe shared to me by an old a carp fisherman . I dont remember the ratios but it was made from corn meal , flour , oats , salt and sugar . He mixed them together made patties out of it , then dropped in boiling water for three minutes . He then cut it into little squares . It's a real good bait and if I ever find that recipe I'll share it .When I was a kid the church published a cook book and that bait was my contribution LOL. If I ever find one of those cookbooks I'll have that recipe . Heres how I rig them .The treble hook is just a bait holder with the barbs crimped . This is a bolt rig and works great . I use a tight line . the carp sucks the bait in , feels the weight and bolts . It tries to exhale the ball but the octopus hook gets them .
  22. Beetle Spins larger than 1/4 ounce use to be available . Those are the ones I liked . I see now that there is a larger one targeted for salt water . They look more like the ones I used . I caught big bass on them in the Mississippi river and farm ponds .
  23. Theres not much meat left when you cut the red meat out . I'm going to try this method . White bass are thick on my home lake and need to be taken .
  24. I thought seriously about Clunn . Hes made a lot of money on that system .
