  1. I just use cheap skinning pliers made for catfish .
  2. Yes , if you let them sink in the rocks . I try to keep them above the rocks .Ideally , I go with inexpensive lures that sink , like 1/4 ounce beetle spins ,pre-rigged swim baits , cheap spinnerbaits , jig and grubs ... I let then settle initially then as soon as they touch down ,i pop them off the bottom and try to retrieve them just above the rocks . Some snags are inevitable .
  3. If your bait is wedging in the rocks , then you will have to be more careful and try to retrieve it above the rocks .Hold the rod high and pause as soon as you feel it make contact . I dont use diving cranks from bank . I do use lipless baits .
  4. Firefighter / paramedic . 24 on 48 off a lot of places .

  7. I do it both ways . I'm often circling the area throwing it both ways .
  8. Most of my fishing with lipless baits is done post spawn through fall in deep water . I use the Red Eye Shad, let it sink on points or areas where a lot of fish show up on the depth finder . Then work it on the bottom . My favorite retrieve is to hop it like a worm . Sometimes I'll reel it in a bit then kill it . The RES wiggles and makes clicking noises on the drop and it catches everything .
  9. Thats what I do . Like i said with the floating food by itself ,it doesnt make a good doughball , the Wheaties helps it to stick together . I've used water , juice from canned corn and beer for the liquid .
  10. My wife doesnt fish so I bought a boat she could lay back in read a book while I fish . Were both content .

  14. If the fishing is tough I'm going to fish either good structure or head to the banks and fish deep into cover .
  15. Try a flyrod and tiny rubber legged poppers , I've had a lot of success that way .

  17. I only know one place that has them and they love Beetle Spins .
  18. I do it . I have a hard time getting the commercial food/dough to ball stick on a hook so I mix it about 50/50 with Wheaties . It works pretty well .
  19. I'm sticking with the same team at Sam that I used at Rez , except in bucket B because B. Lane is now in A . I'm replacing him with Ike .
  20. So you're saying pros "never " go for a quick limit and then go after kicker fish . Seems to me its a strategy they often use .
