I found a gopro in the Gulf of Mexico . I havent used it fishing but have used it metal detecting .

A simple change in wind direction can shut it down or improve the bite . So just go fishing and if fish are not caught try to make smart decisions on how to catch some .You cant do anymore than that .

I remember one time my cousin and I went fishing after a cold front with high blue bird skies . I made the comment this might be a tough day and he said "nah the deeper fish will still bite ". He was right . Cold fronts dont discourage me unless there are high winds .

When I'm pitching texas rigs with 17 lb test XL , I need a minimum 5/16th ounce weight to be accurate and get distance or go with a heavier bait .

I had to push one through by myself . Its amazing how hard it is to get back out when it goes in so easily .

I havent been able to fish because of health reasons and dont know when I will be able to go . Its 61 degrees today a lot colder than it has been . It looks like great fishing weather to me . I would expect a really good day if I could get out .

I dont have a different plan after a cold front . If its cold and sunny I probably wont fish a top water, otherwise I start out like normal and try to make the correct changes as needed .

I'm going to have to remember the fly rod next time there is a cicada hatch . When bass are hitting cicadas I have a devil of a time trying to catch them .

When I'm fishing a small craft propelled by an electric motor only [ kayaks for a lot of anglers] then I'm going to be doing a lot of junk fishing , going down the bank and fishing it all . I'll have four or five combos and each one will have a lure carefully selected for the areas I'm fishing . If the lake has vegetation then those lures are not going to be the same as a lake void of vegetation . So simply match the lures to the conditions and change when an idea hits you.

Just try to make good decisions . Spinnerbaits go though cover better than cranks , that is why I'll sometimes choose one over the other .

I fish the same spots as day but my best places have been shallow on extended points .

Culled fish are keepers .

Can someone tell me whats going on with Scott Rook ? He has 1 bass at 4.5 but has culled 4 bass at 7.3 ? How is that ?

I always had trouble landing fish on Spooks too .
