  1. If you want a versatile spinnerbait that can be fished anywhere its hard to beat a single willow leaf . I use them out on long points along the bottom and then throw the same lure in shallow brush . A real good lure is the Strike King Midnight Special . It has a built in rattle and doesnt have to be relegated to night-time duty .
  2. Junebug, PB&J and black/blue are hugely popular colors because bass fisherman have caught lots of fish on them , not because they are suppose to use them or not .
  3. I dont have any special knowledge or evidence but I always suspected , to beat " some " pros you would be competing against a team . Bryan Kerchal did it .
  4. I have a buzz bait mold too , so I'll do some experimenting . Theres a couple of ideas floating around in my head that probably wont work but they will be fun to try .
  5. The barrel swivel trick works great .
  6. They are all similar . I would make sure they have quality swivels and buy whatever is the least expensive . I've been seeing some good baits on clearance already .
  7. The three pack Luck e strikes work well at a great price .I use the Original Lunker Lure most . I have a couple of Cavitrons for 2016 , just never got on a buzz-bait bite last year .
  8. Sucks . I hope 2017 is different .
  9. Hank Parker once cast his shadow and caught a bass on it .
  10. Some days it takes hours to get on a pattern . My last day at Mark Twain lake in November , I didnt find bass in the creeks which is where I started . Through trial and error I got on a pattern fishing cuts inside of main lake bluffs . Then I simply went from cut to cut passing up everything in between .
  11. Thats hard to do in a short post . I try to have an idea before I ever start on what the fish are doing . Right or wrong , I make adjustments on the water .
  12. Maybe it means " Big ------- Spinnerbait .
  13. I dont even know what BFS means .
  14. I think that Roland Houston guy is the coolest .
  15. I think I'll just throw the worm first .LOL
  16. Thats another one I forgot to mention .
  17. State a preferred depth you want it to dive to .
  18. I have an unopen pack of Auger-Tail snakes . Same with me on the Bomber Model a's . They are not getting much playing time but they sure catch fish . The Arbogast Mudbug is a great lure with terrible hooks and no simple way to change them out .
  19. I fish every beaver house I find thoroughly , just not with diving treble hooked lures .
  20. You're better at it than me . I'll snag up and ruin a good spot .
  21. I dont throw them in beaver houses , cedar trees , coontail grass ...
  22. That is one lure I never had but planned on getting one .
  23. I would get a lot of use from this kit and fish them from 1 to 17 foot deep .
  24. The Dalton Special . I only have one and its in my display case . I need a couple for using and keep my eyes open for them .
