  1. Me too but they tell me a half a stick worm on a jig-head is not a Ned rig .
  2. Or however long it takes to pick out a backlash .
  3. I was given a mold for Banana head spinner-baits. I read they are more snag resistant than other baits and stay upright when using plastic twist tails and Paddletails . Can you pourer's confirm that ?
  4. I have a Speed Trap and have never used it .Its in my Square Bill box too but always get passed over . I'm starting to feel sorry for it .
  5. I cant wit either . Come Jan 1st I'm heading to open water below a dam and try to catch the first fish of the year . Dont care what kind or how big .
  6. I like shad , chrome and chartreuse/bluegill all seasons all depths .
  7. I have never seen the Bomber Balsa B crankbaits . I only heard of them .
  8. For crankbaits being manufactured today its the Rapala Crankin Rap . All time its the Rogers Big Jim.
  9. 6 inch Manns Jelly worm .
  10. I dont think I have ever used a painted weight . I have added eyes to weights with fingernail polish .
  11. I have caught some nice bass in the winter from ponds . I just go after bites . Marabou jigs and beetle spins worked slowly have caught some big ones out of small waters , but I am a lot farther North than you.
  12. They are fish , hard telling what kind . That depth finder gives a nice picture .
  13. I dont know what muddy water is in the rest of the world but here it can be 1 inch of visibility .
  14. I order them from a company called Brooks Fire Equipment . I have a fire ext business . I dont think they will sell them to individuals . National Fire Supply has some that work well , not as thick and I think they will sell them .

I bet that rig works good in rip rap , I'll have to try it this year .
  16. I'll be 60 soon and still stand up in the front of a 14 foot jon boat for 8 hour . I had a few close calls this year. My 22 foot Lowe has a huge deck but I get wobbly on it when the boat is bobbing . What really got me this year was trying to walk on the riprap below the dam . Now that was tough .
  17. I use a box with no compartments , then I put the spinnerbaits and buzzbaits in clear plastic sleeves made for fire extinguisher tags and just throw them in . Those thin bladed opinels are cutting machines . I have one with a bent blade . I was bending saplings over and cutting them and got it pinched .
  18. LOL. Me too .
  19. Do you bounce them on the bottom ? Thats where the RES shines . Chunking and winding , heck I still throw Bayou Boogies and Pico Perches .
  20. I use to weight wood crankbaits by drilling a hole and melting lead solder into the cavity .
  21. When bank fishing , I am not going to have my hands full and the only thing I want to bend over and pickup are bass . I carry one rod and reel and wear a vest . I stuff the pockets with boxes loaded with lures that cast well with my rod and reel .
  22. Cold muddy water is difficult . I fish shallow , slow and tight to cover . The jig moves a lot of water making it easier for a bass to detect than a worm , in my opinion .
  23. Dont set the hook very hard , just a little tug in case its not a fish. If it is a fish , oh well , better luck next time .
  24. Some DOA jig heads , dome DOA CAL Shads and a Flambeau creel bag . The bag is not for fishing but for metal detecting or as I refer to it "Dirt Fishing" .
