  1. They all work.I use whatever floats my boat at the time .
  2. There a lot of different ones the Luck e Strike Rick Clunn baits work well , as do the rapala Crankin Rap . My two biggest bass this year came on a Crankin Rap .
  3. If I had to take a plastic worm type and I like to categorize , worms, craws , lizards ...together, I'd opt for the Zoom Lizard .
  4. I have a rattle trap to paint but dont know if I should color it pink or purple . Bass fishing is hard . This is breast cancer awareness month so I guess pink , to show my support .
  5. A crankbait such as a Fire Tiger Bomber Model A and a texas rigged worm have been a good one two combo for me for many years .
  6. I caught White bass on cigarette butt's and jig head's . I was anchored above a wing dam on the Mississippi and could see the whites hitting on top. I wanted my jig on top , so I put cigarette butt's on jig head's under a bobber . I would just hold the bobber in place where the action was and the buoyant jig along with the current would keep the lure just under the surface . i slayed them that day . I dont smoke anymore so I will never duplicate it .

  9. I've caught a lot of nice bass by casting at one minnow jumping out of the water .

  12. If it was me , fishing my waters in October after a cold front , I'd expect to catch bass on crankbaits.
  13. Football shaped bass , it seems to me , fight the longest .
  14. When I have done it , it was always small bass except once . I hooked a couple of four lbers trolling a Normans Deep Little N .

  16. I dont know what size it us. Just some scrap I had laying around ..Hey I have a cedar popper blank that I never finished . I'd send it to you and you can make a popper .
  17. I have never used one but if I had a pack I would tex rig them .
  18. I've worked up a sweat a few times ripping crankbaits . I retrieve it by ripping hard rand long reel up the slack and repeat . Bomber Flat A's work well fished this way .
  19. I have a Mister Twister spinnerbait [ yes , Mr Twister use to make spinner and buzz baits ] and at the end of the wire is attached a three way swivel with two blades attached to it . It helicopters real slow but I dont recall ever catching anything on it .
  20. You could use lead punch weights and add a skirt to the sinker. That would be less expense and also be as sangless as a Texas rig . I purchased some 1/4 ounce ones off the net last year but dont remember who from .
  21. I want to change mine to blade baits .
