  1. Sometimes noise is like ringing the dinner bell. Like the scuba divers banging on a pole and the fish move in to see . I use to catfish on a small river under a railroad bridge and the fishing would usually pick up after a train crossed . On the other hand did any of you pick up on what Casey Ashley said in the classic . He flat out stated that his sonar was spooking the bass making them tougher to catch ..
  2. Whats the deal with Terrova's ? Are they noisier than others ?
  3. I like them both .One of my favorite ways to fish is to anchor above dikes on the Mississippi River and use nightcrawlers on the bottom . I catch so many different types of fish like that , its just a blast not knowing whatwill bite next .
  4. My most productive shallow crankbait ever is up high in a tree . I just could not figure out a way to get it back .
  5. I try to be quiet as possible . Weve all caught bass after dropping pliers on the floor but that doesnt prove that noise doesnt make a difference . It proves noise didnt make a difference that time .
  6. If it was me in your position , I would just buy a couple of the least expensive Strike Kings , Booyahs ... I dont need a lot of spinnerbaits .
  7. I have caught thousands of bass on the Jelly Worm .
  8. If the lure sinks , I have hopped it off the bottom . Lipless cranks , are one of many . I have some soft plastic lures with a treble hook that I dont even know the name of , from BPS , that have worked deep on points . Prerigged swimbaits , Rocket Shads , Little George , Gay Blades , ... Its simply a must know technique .
  9. I would love for the Missouri Conservation Department to implement a slot limit on Mark Twain Lake , my local lake . I would gladly fillet as many of those small bass allowed .
  10. Ive done it a lot in a Flat bottomed jon boat and I can actually hear the bass hit the lure. I can hear a Red Eyed Shad fall. It goes tic , tic , tic... I cant hear a Rattle Trap fall but oddly I have more success on it than the Red Eye .
  11. Whatever it is , I would see if it would hit a jelly worm .
  12. Most of the time I dont use one . I throw spinnerbaits in the snags and dont want that extra hook hanging up .
  13. Bomber Long A . One of my favorite lures and cast great .
  14. LOL , you got more welcomes than anybody on page 1 .
  15. They are good reels I own three . The only problem I have with them is I used them with heavy 1 oz weights and made long cast . It burnt the plate off the magnets . So dont use large weights and make long cast .
  16. Who's money wouldnt be on KVD ? Everybody here acknowledges that the top pros are better than us . KVD is not magic . He has his bad days just like everyone else . If I was to fish the same area as him I would have almost zero chance . If I found a better spot or area than him, which is not far fetched , then the odds of beating him are pretty good . Thats all anyone on here is saying .
  17. They can really be unpredictable and go on feeding sprees where you catch one after another . I have even caught them on buzzbaits while it was snowing but that was an exception . I will always try a t rig and/or jig . I would say my most consistent lure over the years in mid to late November has been a Bomber Model 6A crankbait in a baitfish pattern like Baby bass .
  18. Yep Bill Norman Weed Walker . I have one but cant recall ever catching a fish on it . I think they are still made . A local store that sells a lot of used fishing items have some new in pack .
  19. hmmm... now didnt you make a post a while back stating the only lure a bass cant remember is a plastic worm . "Studies have proven that the plastic worm is the only lure made that a BASS CAN NOT REMEMBER!
  20. Yep , a classic gutterhead post made funnier by a censored word.
  21. I only know that bass that have never seen a bait before are really easy to catch .I've had them swim between my legs , ****** my worm dangling form a canoe , follow me around like hungry cats and devour anything dropped in front of them . Not just dinks either, I remember one time while paddling a canoe two big smallmouths keeping pace right beside me , I caught both of them by just lowering my bait in the water .
  22. WRB you just convinced me to try hair jigs again . I have a few but very seldom use them .
  23. I just use the old Strike King Bitsy Bugs in any dark color .
  24. Good thing Bryan Kerchal didnt have that "no way i can do it attitude. "
