  1. Sunfish like to hit the appendages of craws, creature baits , lizards... Might just try using a 6 inch straight tail worm .
  2. No , I am not picky on skirts . I once bought a bunch of cheap spinnerbats for a quarter a piece just to get the skirts .
  3. Too many to list . Some of them are no longer made .
  4. Looks like a typical north Missouri lake in the spring .
  5. Like all soft plastics they work real well. Ive used them Texas rig , carolina rig , on jigs and buzzed on top .There are just so many baits too fish and so little time that I just dont use them much anymore .
  6. I dont have a single popper listed on this thread so far.I have some Rebels , Storms, a Pico and a Heddon . Oops Big bill said Rebel . my mistake .
  7. I have caught lots of turtles and they have fought slowly but evidently others have had different experience with them .So I stand corrected .
  8. I use a lot of 1/4 and 5/16 ounce weights on skinny six inch baits . Work them fast and get lots of bites .
  9. I just watched a video , thats pretty cool .
  10. That would pretty much cover everything I need .
  11. A parasite worm weight will keep the weight next to the tube and keep the tube in place .
  12. Yep , versatility is the key . The scenario in my first post when I was throwing a t-rig and the guy running the boat a spinnerbait , he wasnt stopping for me to fish the cover he just hit . I would make a cast work it fast through the cover and get ready for the next spot .
  13. x 2 . If tubes are killing it Texas rig that baby .
  14. I would only rule out turtle . They are slow .
  15. Its a Garrote . Congratulations you finally got to use it .
  16. Around here all I have to do in the fall is fish banks with medium diving cranks and I'm almost assured of having a good day . A Bomber model A , Rapala Fat Raps and similar baits work well . I just use a 7 foot med action rod and 12 lb mono. on a bait caster . Its pretty easy fishing .
  17. I do it . I use a 1/8 to 1/4 ounce bullet weight and t rig them .
  18. The fish are not finicky in North Missouri . This time of year more often than not , I get on a hot crankbait bite with medium divers Lures like a Bomber Model A really shine . But I rarely fish lakes that have significant weed growth .
  19. I was fishing about 15 foot deep with a texas rig something sprayed with Real Craw. I felt a tap and did not set the hook . I slowly reeled a 15 inch bass to the surface . Once at the surface the bass let go .
  20. I believe in scents , especially the old Riverside Real Claw and Berkely Strike .. There have been a couple of experiences I've had that "at times " makes me believe that scents make a huge difference .
  21. You have to take the spool out and put it in backwards . Then put the switch in reverse. Now it can be used like a spinning reel . Push the button and squeeze the line against the rod .
  22. He didnt use it as a fly reel , he uses it as a casting reel and just uses long fly rods for their action .
  23. I know an older gentleman and those are the only reels he uses. He uses the reverse switch and puts them upside down on fly rods . Its the only spincast reel Im aware of that can do this. I had two in pretty good condition and gave them to him . I use to do the same thing on a light action spinning rod. It was a good caster for light jigs .
