  1. You have inspired me. I have some jigs but I've never caught a fish on one. I think the ones I have are all 3/8. I throw them occasionally but to no avail. I'm going to dedicate my time to learning the jig as well. I'm going to tie one on and fish it exclusively until it starts producing. Where do you start? I usually go to the lake but I'm thinking I should fish smaller water until I'm more proficient.
  2. I think he needs something to take his mind off the noise like music,t.v. Or sounds of nature, whatever works. I also think that he needs lots of reassurance that it is nothing, he is a big boy, and daddy is not going to let anything happen to him. That worked with my nine year old daughter. I let her leave her tv on at night. She always crashes around 9-10 so its not a big deal. That's just my 2 cents. I haven't figured out how to get the 2 year old out of my bed yet though.
  3. Very cool. Appreciate it. I love the exotics.
  4. There is still time to convert. Roll Tide!!!
  5. Good luck buddy. I could use some myself. My problem is a lack of consistency. I haven't been able to get out very much lately and I've been trying a bunch of unfamiliar places.
  6. I constantly feed the monkey to keep him at bay. If I go to a store that sells tackle I usually pick up at least one thing. It looks like you picked up some awesome stuff though man.
  7. A different rod for different techniques. Your cart looks pretty cool man. Hopefully it will work like you want it too.
  8. I felt that way Saturday evening. It was frustrating.
  9. Yepp that's a nice one.
  10. After reading all this I picked up the frog-r. I'm going to try my luck with it this evening at dusk on the lake.
  11. I had the same problem. I kept losing focus on the subject matter because of the rampant product placement.
  12. The results will be interesting I'm sure.
  13. How well do those steel scent removing bars work?
  14. I've never eaten a fish that I didn't like. Halibut is my favorite. I've eaten LM bass once. I was hesitant but it was surprisingly good. I still C & R though. Hybrid bass are also very good.
  15. My Friday starts Friday. No fishing until Saturday.
  16. We fish the Chattahoochee alot for hybrid. My two buddies have caught huge bass on chartreuse jig heads paired with chartreuse swim baits. Its a salt water setup but the river largemouth seem to like it as much as the hybrid.
  17. Yepp that's a nice one. Always retie. I was reminded that when I threw a swimbait out into the woods Sunday.

I can dig it. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Snake charmer in unfamiliar territory.
  20. My phone, incase I need to hit up Bass Resource on the spot and get some tips, and bottled water is also a must.
  21. They did this promotion at my local WalMart a few months ago. I got one of everything and a few of the things I really liked. I call it baitin' on a budget.
  22. Nah never. I usually practice C & R. Partly for conservation and partly because I'm lazy. My wife gets ticked off that I never bring any fish home. I may have to buy some fish on the way home and throw them in freezer bags to pacify her in the future.
  23. I guess I need to pick up some new colors of pit bosses and some rage craws.
  24. The pit boss was the first bait I consistently caught fish with so it holds a special place in my heart. When someone says confidence bait it comes to mind. Dick's had the craw colored pit bosses in clearance one day so I bought a few packs. I haven't tried any other colors yet.
