The guy was due in court today for menacing his neighbors.That is the only thing the police can come up with as a motive. I guess he was trying to delay the inevitable, but he as made things much worse. The man is still held up in the bunker with the boy. They are saying it could go on for days.

My wife likes to play cod with me. Since I got into fishing pretty heavy I don't really play much anymore though.

Update : no resolution. The police have made contact with the child he is okay. He is autistic. The suspect has been given him his medication. I agree Sam it Is a mental health issue.

I didn't know the proper way to fish it so I just t-rigged it. And put a small splitshot weight on it to get it to the bottom. I would cast it out let it fall to the bottom, wiggle it a bit, reel in a bit let it sit, wiggle it, reel in a bit. I learned today that I need to do more research on techniques and presentation's.

I got skunked guys. I tried the square billed crank but it didn't do much to change things. I tried to fish the cover as much as I could. The only two bites I got all day were not in open water but maybe 10-15 feet from the nearest cover. Sam I had already given up and came home before you posted. I'm starting a notepad tonight to log where I was,how I did, what techniques I found weren't productive and I'm going to put all the advice you guys give in as well, for future trips. How long did it take you guys to become proficient in bass angling? I have been ingesting every bit of info I can over the last 3-4 months and I still feel like I don't really know much. Like I hear alot of guys talk about confidence in a certain lure, but days like today I didn't have much confidence in my own ability.

I'm out on a pond in southeast Alabama. I've been here about 4 hours I have about 4.5 hours of day light left. I've thrown everything in my box at them. The only thing to get even a bite was a June bug trick worm. I've fished shallow, deep, open water, heavy structure. I'm stumped. I need some advice from you more experienced guys. If you don't mind. I'm tired of going home smelling like a skunk.

My 8 year old watches the Smurfs movie every chance she gets. I didn't think it was great to begin with. Now I want to pull my hair out. The movie Charlotte's Web is my 1 year olds favorite. You turn it on and she is glued to the tube. I think its cool because she loves the original from like 1972.

I'm kind of new to fishing so I don't have a plethora of wild stories. This story may seem mild to you fellas, but last Friday I was fishing at a creek near my house and a snake slithered right past me. I was not trying to be quiet at all. I was moving around alot casting at different trees in the water. I never saw his head so I couldn't identify it. It was probably 3-4 foot long and close enough I could put one foot on it without moving the other foot. It acted as if I wasn't there or it wasn't threatened by my presence. I was mid cast when I caught it in my peripheral vision. It scared me so bad that I bird nested my line. When it was all over my line was wrapped up in the drag gear and I had to go home, since I only had the one pole with me and no screwdriver with me.
