  1. New p.b. is always what I'm thinking. Where are the hawgs hiding now.
  2. Glad to see you had a change of heart JD.
  3. Not bad for an hour at all. It usually takes me that long to get something going. I've been keeping up with the Florida guys for awhile. I'm going to start keeping up with you northeast guys as well. MARsSPEED your my guy this month. Good Luck. Let's win this thing. LOL.
  4. That was Awesome. I was expecting a battle. The jaguar made that look easy.
  5. I'm going to say Gemma. Peggy was never on my radar.
  6. That was an incredibly long glide in my opinion. Batman can't fly. He has no super powers.
  7. The only scent I've ever bought was spike it garlic scent in an aerosol can. Sunday was the first time I used it. It has been in.my tackle bag for months. I couldn't buy a bite so I put some on the tail of a grape ribbon tail worm. First cast boom fish on. The next few casts nothing. Gave it another spray, next cast fish on. Before Sunday I was neither here nor there on scent. Now I'm a believer. Where do you buy MS? Online?
  8. Some fish have said it? I think a comment like that is like telling a golfer "Your hole in one didn't count because it was on a par 3 course". A fish is a fish, just because he was in a pond doesn't mean he jumped out into your hands. You still had to present the right lure in the right place at the right time. The guy is what we younger folks call a "hater". Haters gone hate and fisherman gone pull hawgs out of ponds. If you told me you pulled it out of your buddies swimming pool I may feel differently, but the fish is legit IMO.

I'm sure the video from "The Promise Land" will be awesome. I cast with two hands when I'm aiming at a small target, or when I want to cast as far as I can.

I really wanna see your cast 00.
  11. This is a really cool thing you guys have going on. I keep up with it on a regular basis. I always root for Martin because I feel like he is the underdog. J/k Bro. Maybe we can get this going for the Alabama guys some time. Good luck guys and keep it going.
  12. I busted a slump today. I started with a top water frog , then flipping jig, then a swim jig, then a pit boss t-rigged. I got nothing. I missed a fish on the frog but misses don't count and it eventually got to hot for any topwater action. I was stumped staring in my tackle bag wondering what to do next. I decided to tie on a purple ribbon tail worm. Tail being grey. I dipped the tail in spike it so it was bright yellow and covered with scent. I cast it out and boom, a little dink hit it immediately. My confidence was back. A couple casts later I threw it out over a log and drug it back to me, as soon as it came over the log boom a 2-3 pounder smashed it. I don't know if it was confidence in worms, switching from natural colors to bright, or the spike it, but the slump was busted. Oh yea my slump was getting skunked the last 5-6 times I went bassin.
  13. I thought $100 dollars for pliers was a joke.
  14. There is one honey hole on the hooch where " They aren't biting, we've thrown everything but the kitchen sink at em." is the generic answer you get from everyone because the spot is only big enough for 1 boat to comfortably fish and the fish are usually there.
  15. To become a Bass Resource Mod. One day. Lol.
  16. I think you will like it. The action is great. You can use them about any way imaginable if they aren't working as trailers. I've had times where they liked em on a jig and times where they like them t-rigged with a little weight pegged on. Bass like them, so I like them as well.
  17. I talk to most people I pass when fishing. The people I see are usually fishing for a different species or using live bait so the conversation is, You doing alright? Catching anything today? Ok see ya later. At this one particular bass pond I go to the bass are very finicky. Whenever I see another fisherman using artificials we will usually troll over to one another and talk about where they are today, what they are biting on and what they aren't.
  18. Doubles are awesome. Weren't you asking for advice on fishing the Sammy? Looks like you have it figured out to me. Nice job! Hope your hand heals quickly.
  19. Here is one my buddies 12 year old daughter told us: How does a man with no arms or legs cross the freeway? Hint: Take the f out of free and the f out of way.
  20. I have usually provided 2 weeks notice and left on good terms. I only gave 2 days notice when I left my last job but it was for a job I previously had and the boss called me and said I have an open position ,be here Wednesday or I will fill it. I explained the situation to my boss at the time and he understood, sent me off with a hand shake and well wishes. I think you should at least be upfront with you boss and let him know your intentions. If he is understanding and supportive of your decision give him 2 weeks as a courtesy. If he is a butt hole about it load your gear and leave.
  21. You gotta love those fat girls. Nice catch man.
  22. The simpler the better IMO. I usually carry a couple cranks,a couple spinner baits, a couple jigs and trailers, a couple types of worms, and a few other plastics depending on what I'm doing. I'm the type that if I bring everything I own I'll spend the day switching baits and not really doing much fishing, and the bag is way to heavy with everything in it. For example I'm going out on my kayak this weekend to flip some docks and weeds in a slough near our fishing camp.Ill only pack things that I need for flipping. I consider myself a noob as well so I try to focus on one aspect at a time for the time being. Those Spider wire binders hold alot of plastics and doesn't take up alot of space. I use one....... I'm not a 100% plastics guy but I am most confident fishing plastics. Right now my focus is on becoming proficient with the jig.
  23. Teach him wet willies, purple nurples, and Indian burns.
  24. There are a bunch of threads about this already if you will do some searching.
  25. I agree. Very cool. Hopefully I'll get to check the boat out in person one day.
