I haven't found the job I love yet, just one that pays the bills.

That's a great idea. I usually go light on breakfast and bring a bunch of junk to eat. I'm doing The Big Country Breakfast before my next outing and bring some teriyaki jerky for a mid day snack.

This site is a social gathering place after all. Even if the question is redundant it opens the door for conversation. Isn't that what its all about? If you didn't feel like answering the question why did you open it in the first place? I enjoy people's responses, and read threads that I already know the answer to incase there is something new. I'm am still learning and can't get enough info inside of this noggin. I've asked redundant questions and like others have said it took me a few months to realize my questions ( which I thought were original) get asked quiet often. Just my two pennies.

That's a nice flathead and I love those wipers. Down here we call them hybrid. I love fishing for them. You only catch em once and a whole when its hot out but from Jan.- March you can tear em up. They are good to eat if you haven't tried it yet.

I hate when I take my kayak up to the lake for the day and all my spots are full of tournament fisherman. Its hard to get out beyond them on a kayak. If there are fun fisherman there it is usually one or two. I can work around them, but the tournament guys show up in flocks. I dont get mad at the guys. I dont own the lake so they have as much right to be there as I do, but its disappointing when I've put all my eggs in that one basket. I usually end up fishing unfamiliar water out of consideration for them.

Weightless junebug trick worm. I dont fish it all the time because I want to grow as a fisherman, but when the going gets tough it will usually produce for me.

I dont know alot but I'll give you what I've gotten out of my experience. 1. Fish any visible cover thoroughly. 2. Slow down your presentation, give your bait time to fall in thier face before you start your retrieve. 3. Have confidence in yourself, your ability, and your presentation.

I know exactly what you mean. I have been working on quitting for a couple of months but haven't made it to 100% yet. I do fine when I'm away from work but when Monday rolls around its a whole new ball game. I dont have much patience for peoples b/s. If I could ever get past that I could reach my goal. I'm glad your doing so well. Keep it up. Sharing your experience is motivation for guys like me. Thanks.

I think they are beautiful. I've never seen one in person just the ones you guys share here and some on tv. The tiger stripes are especially awesome. I think if you can't see the beauty you are either blind or you can't see the trees for the forest.

Its is chilly here today. Where I live 52 is chilly. Lol. It was almost 80 degrees yesterday. We have the weirdest weather though. Its like pants and long sleeve shirt one day, light jacket the next, heavier jacket the next, and then shorts and t-shirts for a week. Rinse and repeat. I was planning to go to a little pond today,I hope this change hasn't given the fish lock jaw.

It is feeling like spring here in Alabama also. 70 degrees at 11 o clock at night. We don't get snow or bad ice but it is usually alot cooler by this time of year.

Yea man sorry to hear the bad news. I've only had one dog that was really like a part of the family. She was a German Rottweiler. The exact same thing happened to her. I'm not ashamed to say I cried when we had her put down

I reeled in a fresh water eel one day this summer. I had gotten hung up on an old limb line some had left behind and the eel was actually on it. It was freaky looking, coming out of the river and all. I picked it up and removed the hook. Although it seemed fairly harmless my buddies were scared to touch it. I got my line wrapped around a baby ducks neck a few weeks ago. I was trying to clear my line before the duck got to my line but it was too quick. It hit my line and starting flailing around, wrapping my line around its neck. I reel it in some, let it rest, reeled it in some, let it rest until the line finally came on around his neck and he was free about 15 ft. from shore. I didn't want to cut the line because it was on his neck and I didn't know if he could clear it on his own. It really wasn't that big of a deal but it was a wierd experience.

A guy was telling me that in panama city shark fisherman will pay kayakers $20 per trip to carry their bait out to deeper water for them. It sounded like a good idea to me, I was seriously considering going and checking it out when the weather got warmer but I think this has changed my mind.

I paid full price for the Nabi a couple of weeks ago. After seeing the mayhem at WalMart from a distance I'm glad I didn't try to get in there. I despise normal size crowds. I know I would go insane in that mess.

So as the month is ending is everyone planning to clean the face up? I'm letting it grow until my wife decides its too much for her. But she is saying " keep it going" for now
