  1. I looked at the advertisement, and I didn't see much of anything that I want/need this year. Overall, them condensing the event to 1 week and moving to the start of Feb has been a disappointment for me.
  2. I became very fond of the Seaguar Smackdown braid last season.
  3. Boy, this escalated quickly! I think Irene is warming up her voice.
  4. I've got a Jackall Binksy that I'm hoping does really well for me this upcoming season.
  5. Dude, it's an online forum. If you can't take the occasional ribbing from people you have no business on any message boards.
  6. KVD L&L not only helps with line management, but will also grow hair, cure impotence, and twice a year will make your wife look like Kate Upton. Of course I am kidding about the last three things, but it's phenomenal for all non-braided lines.
  7. Chinese and Asian are not interchangeable. I would never put a Chinese reel in the same ballpark as a Japanese built reel. Not trying to start a p¡ssing match, but to lump them all together like that is ignorant & misinformed.
  8. From what you've been posting for new reels I look forward to anything else that shows up at your office!
  9. The thread on the new rods people will use this year got me thinking, "why not reels?" So here goes. I'm looking at the following reels for 2015: Daiwa SS SV Daiwa T3 MX Daiwa Zillion TWS in the 9.1:1 ratio. And for a change of pace, Hootie's post on his Shimano Scorpion got my attention. Nice reel at a really nice price.
  10. For me it's the Crucial rods I snagged at DSG for basically peanuts. Not the newest version, but new to me. Im also looking at the St. Croix LTB 6'10" ML/XF as a dedicated finesse worm rod, but it's far down the list as I have a need for some reels at the moment.
  11. Look good, feel good. Feel good, fish good.
  12. From one Clevelander to another..Welcome!
  13. Make it a dedicated senko rod.
  14. I use the Bill Lewis lipless cranks the most, but last year I bought some used traps from another member and one was the Duo Realis Vibration lipless crankbait. Last year in a small club tournament the Duo lipless was amazing, and was putting fish in the boat on a 2:1 ratio against the boater who was throwing a SK RES. It's definitely worth looking at.
  15. The 100mph line are great fitting for my fat behind and beer belly.
  16. I understand, but you would also probably need to make some other upgrades to get it to perform the way you would need. Off the top of my head I'm thinking a longer handle, definitely upgrade the drag, perhaps the drag star, and maybe the spool bearings. As mentioned by some others the Fuego might be your best option. Just my $0.02.
  17. I own this reel, and have had no issues with mine in terms of durability. I've heard that some people have over-tightened the lexan sideplate and caused it to crack, but that is a user error issue IMHO. In terms of using this reel for the purpose you are asking I would say it's perhaps not the best option for you as it does have a 5.8:1 gear ratio.
  18. This about sums up the VERY bright future for my beloved Buckeyes. http://www.si.com/college-football/2015/01/13/ohio-state-buckeyes-national-championship-game
  19. Amazing game! O-H!
  20. I beg to differ. I have a MH/F spinning rod I've used for pitching/flipping jigs.
  21. Break out the UL rod, and try fishing for panfish. If you catch Bluegill you've solved the answer to your question.
  22. Spooky shad and cell mate are my 2 favorite colors by SPRO.
  23. It's not that hard at all to find a spinning rod with enough backbone for jigs. It's no more difficult than finding a casting rod to do this.
  24. Does she have any single sisters? LOL! Congrats to you for finding a woman who understands.
