It never ceases to amaze me that when I think about doing something I find someone who ultimately is trying to do the same on this forum. I bought a Buckeye Mop Jog to replicate what they did because I like their jigs. FWIW here is what I am doing ... 1 - I use round rubber from Netcraft. Regular skirts from fishingskirts.com 2 - PM Cadman ... he can help you here. 3 - Buckeye appears to have somewhere between 20-30 strands of round rubber and about a skirt and a half of regular skirt material. 4 - The round rubber goes out about an inch to 2 inches past the hook. Here is one I made messing around yesterday.

For every tournament I shed a little of the braid and retie. That way I am ensured a fresh setup. When fun fishing I can leave the same line/leader setup on for weeks. I will notice some wear on the braid but it takes some time for that to happen dragging it through stuff. Sometimes several trips before I notice it. FWIW I use PowerPro 15lb. My leaders vary from 6 - 15lb test and I usually have about a 3 - 4 foot leader. Good Luck.

booyah micro pond magic spinnerbait has been good to me.

Love JJ's but have used Spike it successfully as well. Both to tip my baits. Megastrike however I use alone and with the item I use to tip the bait.

I love the 3601's. I use them for my slimmer baits like jerkbaits, lipless CB's etc. It all boils down to how much stuff you really want to carry of each type.

Agreed ... it never fails. It took me mere minutes to get adjusted to the new setup. Can't ask for a better upgrade experience. FWIW ... I do this kind of stuff for a living for companies. Typical of those implementations as well no matter how much you plan.

FWIW I started off by buying jig heads unpainted from Cadman. Then went shopping for paint, skirts and weedguards to make these my own. Had a ton of fun doing that alone. I did venture into pouring but found that I poured so many jig heads that I could open up my own shop ... LOL

PowerPro braid 15lb in Hi-Vis yellow. Since I am an avid leader guy thought it wouldn't hurt ... Absolutely love it!
