Weighing your tackle box/boxes ???
I guess I would have to weigh the boat, take the tackle out and weigh again, kind of like selling scrap metal (yes, I have been poor). But back when I just had a tackle bag, it was about 38lbs.

most big bass caught during brightest part of day, 10am to 3pm? doug hannon video
I ALWAYS thought you had to be there when the sun came up to catch fish. I have heard about light refraction, angle of the sun, etc. but in my experience I have had a lot of success when the sun had been up for about two hours till through the next 3 or four hours. Depending on the time of the year, this could be 8-12 or whatever the case may be. I know for a fact I caught more fish closer to noon than I did closer to sunrise last year and I spent about 120 days on the water, most of the time arriving before daylight.

frog rod.. but not a beast?
I always use a H rod for frogs. Not so much for the cover (that's an XH) but to get a good hook set.

Maybe he just needed a hug
I was in the grocery store earlier today and I was getting some noodles. I was on the isle with the can food on the opposite side. I over heard an elderly man asking another shopper if she knew where the dry black eyed peas were and that he could only find them in a can. She told him she did not. I told him I was not trying to listen to his conversation but I could show him where they were. So we walk an isle over to where they were and I pointed to them and said "Right there sir". He looked at me (I have no idea who the man is) put his arms out like he wanted to hug me. I was kind of froze but thought what the heck. He hugged me and said God Bless you young man, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. When I got in the truck it made me really think about what some people might be going through. It may have been nothing, or it may have been that he just needed a hug.

Flurocarbon knot failure
I don't just barely lick the line to wet it. I spit on it to lubricate it. I had a lot of trouble till I started making certain the line was wet.

I'm 42
Well, I am about to head to the woods. I have always wanted to kill a big buck on my birthday. Unfortunately they aren't usually moving much this late in the season. But I try every year anyway.

I'm 42
Geez, I just realized I just turned 42. When I was 32, it seemed like 42 was so far away, yet here we are. I will say though, my eye sight is headed in the wrong direction. LOL I have a great wife, great kids, great job and thoroughly enjoy life. Hopefully I have a few more years in me.

Josh Jones at it again
This is from his FB page With all of that, I’m going to leave you all with my last 12 months Bass stats, minus 4 or so months I took off for deer and crappie tournaments. I can’t thank you all enough and the year 2022 is going to be my best one yet, God Willing. 2022 I’m taking no time off, carrying the cameras with me everywhere I go, and have some road trips planned on the west coast to target the World Record Largemouth, but I’m not going to kid myself, I’ll be happy with all the DD’s I can get my hands on . ******The last 12 months….****** My largest 5 bass totaled 68.78 pounds. 15.40 15.10 13.20 12.88 12.20 I boated somewhere over 150 bass, over 8 pounds. 27 Double digit bass 3 smallmouth over 6 pounds 3 meanmouth over 7 pounds.

Curado 150 DC or 70 MGL for Jerkbaits
I use the OG curado 70 for JB's and it does just fine. I haven't tried my 70 MGL for them, but I assume it would do great. I wasn't a huge fan of the DC though.

Budget Swimbait rod
I use a Cardiff and a 7'8" XH Intenza. Works well enough for me since I throw them about 1.33% of the time LOL

Battery question
Update - I had the day off yesterday so I just went and bought a new battery. Got it put in today and so far everything seems to be good to go. I didn't have time today, but I am going to go put some new gas in tomorrow and take her to the lake and try to get her going.

Bass Replica Mount measurements
I have a replica. Here is what I can tell you. I only weighed the fish, did not get a length and girth. That being said. It will be real hard to find a form that is your "exact" measurements. My fish was 8-2 and I'm guessing 23" and FAT. There was no replica available that was under 24" for an 8lber. I ended up getting the shortest/fattest 8lber I could get. The guy that did it was a terrible artist and it looks nothing like the fish I caught. I am going to have it re-painted as soon as I can.

FedEX gives me heartburn.
LOL!!! I was on the FedEx "do not deliver to" list for a few days because I had some very choice words for a driver who left a box that contained 2 brand new Metaniums on the side of the road instead of driving the 1/4 mile down my driveway and putting them on my porch. Had to speak with FedEx security department to get it cleared up.

Any PS3 Guru's here?
I have to add this to this thread, because I see this so often on forums. People say "Don't get them video games, take them hunting, fishing, play sports, etc.". Now mind you, I love all those things and most of the people saying those things grew up doing those things because.........well there weren't video games back then. We introduced our son to games at an early age (4 or 5) and he played baseball, went fishing, hunting, etc. He ended up being a "gamer". That was what he was interested in. I was told, or had to hear it that video games were the devil and kids that played video games were worthless, etc. etc. etc. He is now a Soph in high school, he has never made a B in his life and is an amazing kid. He just started his first job and is enrolled in a cyber security class this year and will enroll in a Vocational Technology program next year and finish his high school career with 2 years of college experience and a 99% chance to receive a job in the field upon completion. I've told my son since the day we could communicate that I only wanted the best for him and I would try to give him the opportunity to do whatever it was he wanted to do. I'm d**n proud of him, even if he is a "gamer" and a dork and not a cool sports kid. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack, just figured I would get in before the....BuY hIm A rEeL iNsTeAd post happened.

What Line for this Setup
I'm a fan of Sufix 832 40lb. No leader for me. That's just what I prefer though. Here's a curveball. If I am pitching into wood, I will use Tatsu in 15lb.

A sports question.
In basketball it means an assist. Not sure why it would be used in football.

Successful hunt
Man, I LOVE hunting pheasant. Too bad my connections are gone. Now it would cost me an arm and a leg to go. BTW, also the best tasting game out there IMO.
