I'd recommend the ultra soft yo zuri

I use 8lb yo -zuri ultra soft.. I have a cumara/stradic combo.. Works great so far... They actually say it's designed for spinning gear

I feel like you got revos that's have issues.. I have a gen 3 sx ,stx and mgx.. And the sx cats plenty far send is fairly smooth on retrieve.. There's no way a tatula could cast twice as far as my SX..

Yea 4 locks or mccoys would be your best bet, who knows how long the big slack ramp will be closed... If you had a jet you could run the creek up the whole way to the mill.. Nate would know more about that area, I think he has a jet and has ran all around there

I have 2 of last years excels, the orange ones.. Which IMO are better rods.. The 4's are MH .. I have a 704 casting and a 703 spinning... Awesome rods... I haven't seen any reviews on the new ones but from what I heard they are not made at lamiglas anymore like their other rods... They're made in china I believe

I put a drop of oil on my bearing and my sx is much smother and casts better

Do you have a prop or a jet?

Abu reels are not heavily oiled like shimano, all my revos I put a drop of oil on all the bearings before I put line on them
