Is It Legal? ...
As long as his gasoline engine is off is he is not given any advantage of covering alot of water. He is dependant on wind/current to move him and the lure. He is just drifting with the dead sticked lure. Sounds legal to me. Ive done similar with lightly weight softpastics. I would come up wind blown points or banks and cast infront of stumps and rocks and let the current push the lure toward the target.

Rage Shellcracker
I havent fished the rage shell cracker. But i have a fished the Big Bite Baits Warmouth which is very similar in concept. I have fished it texas rigged on the flat side with a 1/8 or 1/4 oz bullet pegged. I have also tried it exposed on the flat side on a jig head. I like texas rigged better. (Less snags) the warmouth is a great bed bait. I expect the same from the Rage. My fishing buddy likes to use them rigged flatsided for carolina rigs. I havent tried that yet.

5" Curl Tail Grubs
Definitly in my box. I use them for trailers more than anything, but i love to pitch them exposed on 1/8 -to 1/4 jig heads on light line under docks, light cover, and on bass beds too. Its a bait that i really like to fall back on when fish get finicky.

Too Many Line Cause Confusion!
Whatever you do just keep it simple as you can. No need to have 6 different sizes of braid, then 6a sizes of mono and 6 sizes of braid. Braid and leaders is the way i go now except for jerks/cranks/small med topwaters. I only use 50 and 30lb braid on casting gear.

What Technique Would You Use This Rod For?
MH F, is super versitile. The 6'6" length wont give you the distance that a 7' gives you. They sound like a good jig, worm, spinnerbait, swim jig, chatterbait, fluke, buzzbait or topwater rod. I dont know what you already have for setups/combos. But if it was me and i had one more rod, it would be a swim jig/chatterbait rod. But it depends on what you have and dont have already

Deal Or No Deal?
What for? You knew it was a knock off when you bought it. You stated that the owner explained to you what it was. Sounds like you were informed of what you were buying.

The Road To The Super Bowl
I dont think he is worth top 5 pay. He isnt a top 5QB. But he will get alot of money. He is a 5th year player who has won several playoff games and just won a SB and SB MVP. His agent will play the fact that Flacco could get more money from any of the teams that neeed a QB.

Deal Or No Deal?
Nothing wrong with building lures from other companies components if the were rightfully obtained. But the moment he attempts to sell it as "megabass vision 110" that is blatant copyright infringement. Not only is it CRI, its an inferior product. He definitly needs to take the megabass name off and creat his own name for it. I would tell him that also. I agree with others. Fish the lures. See how they do. They may be great, they may be garbage. Only a water test will tell. If they arent good, take them back and buy some pointers or another quality jerkbait.

Top Water Rod Suggestions
I like a shorter rod. I use a 6'6" Med Xf Daiwa t rod. It doubles as my jerkbait rod. I use this rod for most of my small-med sized topwater/jerkbaits. My big/heavier topwaters are thrown on my Frog rod. The T Rod is a good buy and serves the purpose. Im going to upgrade that rod someday, but Powell doesnt make a shorter rod with in Med, so im going to look in the direction of St. Croix Avid, Shimano Crucial/compre, or the Fenwicks Elite Techs. The Fenwick small mouth rods seem to have some popularity on here.

What's Your Mvp?
Powell Endurance 723. I liked it so much, i have 2 of them. I use them for alot of things. Jigs, soft plastics, spinner baits, swim jigs, chatterbaits, flukes, hollow body swim baits. sure i have others that get pretty technique specific, but at the end of the year, when its all said and done, i can honestly say that ive used these the most. (You can tell when its time to clean the cork)

Is This A 22 Incher?
Nice catch. Personally, to do my part in insuring the integrity of the citation program, i would not apply for a citation UNLESS I AM POSITIVE that it meets criteria in the one of two ways. Thats just me tho. But you have a very nice fish to be proud of and i would def keep that spot in mind and would continue to fish it. Good luck on your chase for the 2013 citation fish. Welcome to the site.

Reel & Rod Decision
Revo will hold up. But not my first choicee. But since ive never seen Lews at BPS, i recommend a Shimano Citica. I own mostly Lews reels, but i still have a Revo S and a Citica, i like the citica better. BPS doesnt sale Powell either, so id recommend a Shimano Compre. I wish i would have bought the compre instead of the Veritas i have. Veritas is lighter, but the Compre has a much better feel to it. The pair will should put you about 10a bucks or so over budget which isnt too bad for a good combo.
