Next time your near the bps in Charlotte, ask someone back in the reel area, somebody should know someone local. There are two many body's of water near you not to have somebody down there performing service to reels. If you know of any local tackle stores near Wylie or Norman you can call them. They should know also.

When I was a police officer every now and then we would get a call to Walmart or Lowes because someone would go buy a new product, like an air conditioner or DVD player, then go home home and put their own item of the same model in the box and carry it back to the store to get their money back. It makes me sick.

I would be interested to see photos of the entire rod including the specs.. Brian I wonder if it is even the same rod. It's looks like it was slammed or stepped on.

Not to mention that the local store owner probably cannot afford to fight this thing if BPS decides to drag it out.

A picture of a bass coming out of the water...so common. Alot of sites and stores use that for a logo. this guys is using a more realistic picture that features two other popular game fish on it. I can't believe that they feel like they own something like. As far as what the BPS spokesman said, Our logo is our most valuable asset and we fight aggressively to protect it. His logo could reflect negatively on us, if consumers confuse the two." Nobody in their right mind could ever confuse a mom and pop shop with the Bass Pro Shops. That's like confusing the neighbor hood fruit stand with a grocery store. Johnny Morris should be ashamed of him self. He is opening MEGA stores every month and he is acting like he is afraid of a mom and pop store. It really makes me not want to do business there...

Y'all can probably top this but mine is, I was out on my boat fishing two years ago on Lake Gaston NC . I was in a cove flipping. I was about 150 ft from the end., at the end of the cove I saw a mama duck and 5 ducklings get in the water. A minute or so later, In the corner of my eye. I seen a huge splash and saw ducks scrambling everywhere. It was a large mouth that blew the surface, I could tell that much. I continued to look on at the frantic little ducks...and then it dawned on me..there were only 4 baby ducks remaining.

No. They are an aggressive predator fish that will kill your other game fish. And I don't know if they will attack humans but I certainly would want to swim in a pond that had them. I would think the bass and peacocks would be plenty game in the water. River monsters did a special on snake heads. River monsters is available on Netflix. I would watch it and see what Jeremy Wade has to say about them. Lol. Jk I would first contact your local wildlife biologists and seek their opinion and any information that they have on the fish.

I would be hesitant to park it there. If you have relatives or a close friend that wouldnt mind letting you keep it there in exchange for a couple fishing trips or a few dollars then that's the route I would go. I'd be worried about someone hitting the boat/trailer. If there are any elderly people that need someone to help with them with yard work in exchange for a parking spot in a garage or a barn would be nice too.

A bow mount trolling motor starts around 350. And would be best mount on the small upper deck. However to save you alot of cash for now, and this is assuming that the trolling motor a transom mount, simply clamp it the railing on the front of the boat, you can get a handle extension and work the trolling motor with you hand. It works for bill dance. As for weight, I would think that you are ok but would def check the specs

I had a similar experience and I called Abu thinking I might have to raise my voice, I didn't have to. The lady was super polite and she processed my claim and gave me a ref number and told me to send pure fishing an email with photos. Pure fishing emailed me back within the hour and I had a new rod at my door in 5 days. I really like Lews Reels, powell rods, and castaway rods....but I will not hesitate to buy an Abu Garcia product, because I know that Abu will back their product and make it right. And that why I have a few Abu products sprinkled in the mix.

I hate that this happened, it just makes me so sick that people do stuff like this and Ebay and Paypal have you temporarily frozen. I hope EBay and PayPal doesn't take too long getting this resolved for you. In my opinion you did do everything that a seller should do. ClackerBuzz had a good point tho. Did eBay give you a timeline on how long this would take to resolve

Denver 38, Baltimore 24 San Fran 31, Green Bay, 30 I really want Baltimore to win, but I just don't think they will be able to keep up. If Baltimore is going to win they are going to have start fast and getting chunks of yards on the ground, thus keeping manning off the field. Baltimore is going to have to force turnovers and not give Manning good field position. It's a tall order, I think they are capable, but I don't think it will happen. SanFran and Green Bay, heck I don't know, i have been going back and forth on this one. I give 49ers the edge because they are at home and are getting Smith back on defense.

Good stuff

The man that taught me and still teaches me bass fishing, keeps a small note pad in his boat. He makes notes daily. If you look in his shop near his fishing stuff, there are probably 50-70 of those little pocket sized note books that have been written in and filled up. I'll take a pad with with me this time of year, but I'm not as disciplined as he is, I don't log every trip, or even half. If I find something new or an off the wall pattern, I then write it down. It's a good idea tho. Or you,can get really modern since everybody is doing it, use a go pro cam and talk your self through a trip. The new navionics is cool but I like old maps, old school I guess. The point of my .02 is to go exploring and practicing and use whatever method that suits you to record the info.

That 6'6 is also a great length for skipping baits under docks. The MH power is good to have in a "skipping rod" for so u can pull fish out and way before they get you wrapped around poles. But those guys were right, generally 6'6 mh fast is as versitile as it gets.

The cool thing about this is that it is an way to discipline yourself in saving money. It starts with baby steps that you will not even notice at first. I'm not saying that I won't notice the last 10 weeks of this, but the first 10 won't be hard and it works slowly into that higher range of deposit. What Laci and I did so we can try to be at potential of this experiment a few weeks before christmas. we both put 10 bucks ( which is weeks 1-4) into our respective savings " jars" so on next friday we will start at week 5. ( I'm also the worlds worst for having change in pocket at the end of the day, so I'm gonna contribute that too)
