welcome! all that CO snow I've seen has me ready to head back out there and snowboard!
  5. Keep your kids first man. My dad dated a lady for quite a while that had a TURD and a half for a son. Basically just a much less intelligent version of the kid from the Problem Child movies. That kid damaged relationships between my dad, brother and ultimately led to my dad and the lady calling it off. I think such poor parenting and coddling is a real red flag for how easy manipulated a person can be. I just say this to say you should worry about your kids first and foremost.
  6. i have a BB1 sitting under the tree, i'll tell you about it soon enough!! having felt both in hand, i liked the feel of the bb1. it's well known for a great cranking reel so i don't think you'd be disappointed.
  7. It's all smoke and mirrors, flights are still up as are the astronomical profits of the airlines....
  8. nice! the spinnerbait was good to me this year!
  9. absolutely incredible man
  10. brings to memory a BRAND NEW casting combo that i lost on lake oconee.... i fished and fished and fished for it forever in just 15-20 feet of water and couldn't come up with anything....
  11. nice tree! the wife actually surprised me with an actual ornament that looks like a bass with a line in it's mouth!! i think she got it at Target, but when she came home she was so excited to show me what she found! moments like these when you know you've got the right one.... now for a fishmas tree next year....
  12. ok, sounds like the answer is a yes.... thanks guys
  13. Dick's has a single pflueger patriarch spinning reel in the display case. it does not come with the spare aluminum spool, neoprene bag, box, papers, etc. just the reel as is. i messed with it and inspected closely and it seems to be in perfect working order. the deal is that it can be had for $75. Would you buy this reel as described for $75 with an MSRP of $200?
  14. welcome!
  15. I've just gone crazy in the last 2 weeks.... and i'm not even including the stuff the wife bought me on the TW Black Friday sale.... Last couple weeks look like this: LC Pointers Megabass Vision jerkbait Megabass PopX (6x) Lucky Craft RTO cranks (thanks to Hootie for the BPS deal) (9x) siebert jigs A total of 1800 yards of yo-zuri hybrid st croix 5'4" UL panfish series (replacing my UL rod that I "lost" from my truck bed) Shimano Citica 201G6 Lew's Tournament Pro now i just have to get the chance to fish it all!!!
  16. I'm kind of thinking it's splitting hairs really, but didn't know if one would be better suited for pitching vs. the other.... and tony, i do essentially own both reels.... one is just wrapped under the christmas tree!!!!
  17. I am trying to determine which reel would be best suited for which application. both are on a 6'10" MH/F daiwa tatula rod. Reel #1 is a Lew's BB1 7.1:1 Reel #2 is a Lew's Tournament Pro 7.1:1 I want to use one of the reels for Spinnerbait/Buzzbait/Chatterbait and the other reel as a dedicated jig reel. given the reels and the applications, which would you use? You can comment or vote or both....
  18. santana, look on craigslist in the atlanta and surrounding area postings. there are some wholesalers on there that sell what you speak of. based on the number of shakespeare items i've seen in the posts, it is probably safe to say they buy from WalMart.
  19. Mine is easily the day my dad, brother and I went fishing and my dad fell out of the inflatable boat into the lake. overalls, tennis shoes, cell phone, chewing tobacco and all right in the water..... my brother and I still just die laughing about it to this day, mostly because right before the fall my dad was talking so much trash.... good times!
