  1. i've heard of this one some lew's reels in other threads. i only have one speed spool, fairly new so no damage yet. although they are pretty soft/tacky feeling and do feel like they could peel or crack
  2. I’m going to Charleston this coming weekend for a mini vacation. I would love to get fishing in while there. Anyone have any info on some spots I could slide my kayak in or even hit the bank to try and get on a couple bass? Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Back in NC it would have been Lake Norman, party boat central..... in GA i've found way too many electric only or HP restricted lakes to get onto the big ones.....
  4. same here Hootie, starting to wonder if it's me or the conditions....... just hoping it's conditions
  5. bug eyed beauty in that first pic!!!!
  6. welcome man! i live over in sandy springs.... not far away, but never fished altoona. tons of good people and good info here....
  7. nice fish and better photo!
  8. "that's a pretty good fish" ……. is what i usually say when i'm pulling up a 2.5#er …… NOT a 12+!!!!!
  9. fishing there in a kayak is downright dangerous…. had to go all the way north to the state park to feel like i had a fighting chance of not being run over….. i used to live about 1/4 mile from blythe landing and that area is crowded all the time
  10. pretty close minded and foolish approach to say that ONE generation is somehow a universe removed from another..... Perhaps you should review the constitution that is now 230+ years strong. it clearly outlines the need for self governance and stresses the importance of a balance of power..... and to say it is selfish to be concerned with my rights or my privacy, well then i'd be fairly proud to be selfish sir...... read below, just look at it through a different lens for a minute to understand that what impacts 1 impacts all..... 'the rights of everyman are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened" - JFK
  11. from what you listed, i'd go with a kayak. check craigslist, can often find some deals on there. Also, from my own experience i would suggest a sit on top kayak vs the sit in version you posted. i have a sit in right now and looking to get me a new sit on top soon.
  12. more important i think the time spent on the ground (out of the water) vs. being on the ground itself
  13. i have an fs10 with the same removable seat, it's great! that's my problem is i don't want a tank per say, i'd still like to cover some water during the day.
  14. fair points. for the loading/weight and speed i was leaning towards the 12T. that 128T is a tank with all the trimmings, but i think it may be a little big for me to manage at the moment
  15. May be purchasing a new kayak from Bass Pro Shop (before everyone offers every other suggestion, I have some money at BPS and so that's where I'm buying the kayak). That in mind, I'm trying to decide between the FS12T and FS128T. Both sit on top kayaks, but some different options. I mostly fish smaller reservoirs and like to carry a fair amount of gear (tackle, rods, reels, depth finder, etc.) so i'd prefer a bigger kayak that the FS10 sit in kayak I currently have. Anyone have any info/opinions to offer? Any first hand experience or opinions on the pros/cons of these kayaks mentioned would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
  16. thanks basshole!! both I and TW appreciate you!!
  17. Anybody know what size split rings I need for a killer instinct 9" glide swimbait and weasel (pictured in the post linked below). Also, where could I get the size split ring needed? Lastly, hook size suggestions? http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/130216-delete-please/
  18. Any of you guys ever fish Lake Blackshear in/near Cordele, GA? I'm thinking about making a trip down this upcoming weekend. Would like to find some warmer water/weather for fishing and camping. Any tips/info on campsites/boat ramps would be greatly appreciated! I'll be fishing from the kayak so the less paddling the better! Thanks!
  19. nice! now i'm ready to snag one on the bladed bait i got from you!
  20. All of the above and especially this…. and I know you said customer service doesn't SELL you…. BUT it should. His quality is off the charts and I received a "custom" emailed order in a very short period of time. 100% satisfied
  21. man, i wish i had a gander mtn nearby….. when i lived in Charlotte i had one about 15 minutes from home, but here in Atlanta they are unheard of. Gander Mtn, if you're listening…… COME TO ATL
  22. If you can get to this point, you may be able to "curb" the problems but i don't know about eliminating them…. i recently got to a point that i realized i hadn't fished a good 50% of what i owned and that made me realize i had a problem…. i thinned out a lot of my stuff here on the flea market and now have an arsenal of tackle that will LIKELY be used….
  23. i like mine…. i'm actually thinking about buying 1 or 2 more to store jigs in because i can see the full head/skirt when they're in this box… will agree though that a couple of my smallest spinnerbaits do not hold in there well….
