Jigs
or you do what i did and buy some quality heads from a custom maker like @cadman or siebert and then buy WAYYYYYYYYYY more skirt tabs than you need and then set off on tying your own.... which is incredibly rewarding and fun. i've since even taken every skirt off of every spinnerbait i own and then wire tied my own skirts on there, it's addicting. that's one thing you might look into... a local tackle shop here sells skirt tabs individually. you could just go there and buy some black/chartreuse and tie up your own skirts or use the little bands and pre-tie a bunch of them up and then just slide them over the heads of your favorite jigs.

$160-$200 Rod comparisons
i have one i picked up recently and it's a really nice rod in my opinion. i got the 683 to pair up with my curado 51e with shallow spool for light rigs. so far, i'm pretty much loving that rod. phenomenal for weightless 4" senkos which was the primary bait i wanted it for. and if you're looking at the avid, could not agree more with smalljaw. don't even try the regular avid, just get the avid X. i had and traded an avid pretty quickly, the avid X on the other hand felt like a completely different rod, in the best way possible.

Shimano zodias+LFS
here's some advice buddy, slow down a notch and let folks answer the half dozen other threads you've started on the same topic. not being mean nor insulting, just trying to help a brother out! on that note, i own a fury and it's a great rod. zodias felt like a pretty solid rod when i held it in a local store, but nothing special and not worth the extra $ especially if you're getting the fury for $85 as you said in another post. and a lew's lfs isn't really a cheap reel. i don't own an LFS, but have 3 lew's casting reels and they're all solid performers.

Best all around line
i'd either run braid on them both and add a leader of your choice when it calls for it OR trilene big game

the official lost tackle of 2016 thread v1
i was soooooo happy this past weekend when i fished in some ridiculous wind both sat and sun and only lost like 3 small jig heads with plastic swimbaits. was my first trip not losing one of my precious spinnerbaits in like my last 4 or 5 outings!

Boat adhesive
clayton, that 3m spray adhesive is good stuff, but i've found it doesn't hold up to prolonged exposure to water. i used it to adhere some tool box matting to the top of a plano to keep my terminal tackle from jumping over the dividers. it held up for quite a while, but now the matting is starting to come off and that 3m adhesive stuff has left a discolored tacky mess behind. I'd be cautious of using it on that nice shiny boat of yours!

Fluorocarbon line unraveling off spinning reel
you've just got too much fluoro on the reel for that heavy lb test. either much less line if you want to keep the 12lb or lighter line (like 6 or 8) if you're set on keeping that much fluoro on the reel.
