  1. a buddy of mine dropped the sideplate on his TP and it sank on down into the lake... he called them expecting to pay a fortune for the whole sideplate assembly. $15 later he had a full sideplate assembly sitting in his mailbox.... shipping and all $15. i thought that was incredibly fair! glad to hear your experience too, i've got 3 of their pro z and i love them.
  2. the DNR have the limits in place for a reason. believe it or not, taking some home is part of sustaining a healthy population. so long as it's legal, i'm fine with letting each do their own thing....
  3. i really don't know man, according to him it was HUUUUUUUGE!
  4. you're alright by me old timer!! if you're not having a little fun while living, you're not living...
  5. another detailed post from you sir! and i love the underspins! i bet they'd do some magic on the big spots on Lake Lanier down here in GA.
  6. i think i snagged them at cabela's on sale and didn't even know they were closed loop until i got home and broke them out
  7. you old guys are just tough as nails Hootie! walked uphill, in the snow both ways, etc.!!! My girlish hands require a nice comfy girlish fit! Besides, i don't want to mess up my manicure!
  8. if you're like me and can't seem to put anything back together the way you took it apart, don't even start. just send it over the DVT and let him do the grunt work for you. and to me, a spinning reel is infinitely more complicated than a casting reel. he's saved my hide on more than one occasion!
  9. for me, it's not about the clear line. i use it to break off a snag a little easier because braid just won't break, also fishing from the bank sometimes it can mean you have to cut off a lot of line. Not good for the pond nor for your wallet to cut that much off. and i also like the abrasion resistance for dragging bottom baits. for me, the uni to uni is easy to tie and has given me no problems with knot strength.
  10. the gold, and it's not even close. and the cork knobs look better too.... truly not even close to me.
  11. there you go! 2 is better than zero everyday!
  12. nice win on what i would consider less than optimal fishing conditions!!!
  13. That's one of the top ways for credit card theft. It's a small little device that fits right into a server's apron and allows them to simply swipe and store your card information. Another popular way is a device they put over the card reader on an ATM machine that does the same thing. They leave it on for a short period of time, come back and have a number of identities to steal! You'll notice some of the newer ATM's have a goofy curved oddball shape to them which doesn't allow these people to put that unit over the top of the card reader. If some of these thieves put their minds to something better than theft, who knows what kind of breakthroughs there would be!
  14. i'll see what they say, but i'll keep my hopes low! and like i said, there will be another in the box here soon one way or the other...
  15. no joke clayton, that white python is a great color. i have a pop x in the same color and that thing is a fish catcher at one of the local ponds here. there's something about the action on that giant dog x... it may very well be the easiest lure to walk the dog that i've ever tried, almost effortless. i have the same lure in black orochi and it's a great bait for nighttime! even if they don't replace it themselves, i'm sure to end up with another one of them in the white python because it's just that good for me... i have to say, they were on top of it once i sent them a message on their website!
  16. there is something awkwardly satisfying about watching something turned like that. reminds me of having fun on the wood lathe in my dad's cabinet shop. turning that square chunk into something with form is just too cool.
  17. fluoro just can't be wet enough when you tighten it down! agree with above on pulling the tag end first. What type of knot are you trying to tie?
  18. don't make us too jealous now! no, that is one fine looking piece of water though, would love to see more of the area!
  19. Taylor, sounds like you've got your answer. You might owe these guys a drink for listening to them rather than your gut!
  20. can you provide a few more details on the specifics? they use this often in CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies, but with glasses and such. i think you've left out a number of details as to how you'd apply this in a real world application which has left everyone here to their own devices....
  21. i started early myself man, squirrel hunting around his age. he's already whooping me. i've never bagged a turkey myself and he has... he's also got my PB smallie beat too. that's my little dude!
  22. nice fish man, that's more wind than i care for though!
  23. i'll take those "meh average" bass all day erryday!!!
  24. yep, worth it. going to try the ultra soft here soon.
  25. terrible kyle, absolutely terrible. i killed it last year and have just been dragging this year!
