nice fish! i'll do the ground shot to show off a new rod/reel combo.... the ground definitely looks dirty, but i can't imagine it does any more harm than those who let the fish flop around on the carpet of the boat with the chemicals and all that are likely present while removing the same protective slime...

no joke on testing your reflexes! i had them "hitting and spitting" a 4" senko on me last weekend while fishing for bass. they were spit it just as fast as they hit it, i only managed to land 1, but he was a nice one!

i swear man, these 2 catch any small fish i want to target. my dad didn't believe me until the other day when i was catching 3 fish for every 1 he caught! later on he asked me where to buy one... LOL

either one of these.... the black with yellow dots and gold blade is my "secret" weapon!! 1/8 oz is my go-to. literally bought another of the black yesterday to replace one i lost this past sunday catching brown and brook trout.

you should really watch me fooling around with them! "speed" is definitely not a word that you'd use when describing. goofy, painful, hilarious, cluster**** .... would all be better used to describe the process!

my dad used to buy them from army surplus stores. we'd take them with us when hunting and camping. some were much better than others, but i can't quite remember any of them right now.

yep, use some skip gap hooks and swimbait of choice and can fish it in some much thicker cover than usual and keep it up higher in the water column

i'd start with the moving baits to see if you can locate them. if you can't i'd slow it down with a shakyhead or a wacky rigged senko, especially around the docks. but that's just me and my uneducated opinion! and which lake you talking about temps that cold? i ask because i see your favorite lake is hartwell and while it's going to be cold around here, i don't think they're talking 30's or at least i hope not! i was up in the mountains on a cold spring fed lake this weekend and while the temps were definitely cool, the water temp was still 58-60. and for what it's worth, they were all about that weightless senko!

WHOA! i think i'll file that one in the NOPE file....

i still have elevated blood pressure today and i think an ulcer to go with it.... phenomenal back and forth game and Villanova just had their A game for 40 minutes, they played unbelievable ball the entire tournament. I've been ragged all day here at work, but what can you say? They all played well right down til the end. And i couldn't agree more that this while likely be remembered as the greatest National Championship game ever.

i have a gen 1 zillion "fast action" and it fishes like a true fast in my opinion.

i'd work that pocket to the left of the ramp past the dam and would work my way on around to that next cove and the point in between the two. i'd also bet there's some rip rap up around that golf course and would take a craw color crankbait up there and bang it off the rocks if that is the case. while you're up that way, i'd hit that back area on the north where line creek feeds in and look for some fish up shallow back in there. there's a second creek that comes in to the left of the red box, shoal creek. looks like a pretty big flat (check out Bing map as well, slightly different view than Google gives you).

if they take paypal, no worries. if you find some specifics and ask back again i'm sure somebody on here has bought something there before. a good place to check on occasion for cheap rods and reels is FFO Tackle. (fisherman's factory outlet)
