  1. it's that MS American Shad color.... it's my favorite too!!
  2. LOL... that's what i usually think about every time i buy the mega millions or powerball tickets...
  3. what's crazy is that every one of my fish that gets off is a GIANT.... at least that's what i usually tell myself....
  4. a backpack with whatever i feel like putting in there... between 2 and 4 rods, depending on where i'm going. And if you have one, take the scale and avoid the "how much does my new PB weigh" thread....
  5. i can't pick just one.... any kind of popper, megabass giant dog x or spro frog
  6. all the rod ratings are different from company to company. but for general purposes here, i'd look for a Medium powered rod with a Fast action.
  7. zebco dock demon.... nearly impossible to mess up or break and they get the job done! It's what my 4 year old nephew uses when we go.
  8. i have 2, 3 and 4 power dobyns rods. i'd opt for the 3 on what you've listed and seem to be looking for.
  9. yeah i was going to offer my expertise on the topic, but i know nothing of these aquatic weeds.....
  10. Man i put a 32mm Yumeya BFS Magnesium in my otherwise stock curado 51e and it was like a whole other reel.... made tossing the lighter baits a breeze!
  11. i have the same reel, super sweet reel. I currently have it on a Dobyns Champion 682sf but I should be getting a Dobyns Champion Extreme 703sf here soon and plan on moving it over to that rod.
  12. you can add a split shot ahead of the spinner too and get it a little deeper down. I'll do this sometimes in swifter water on the river to keep the spinner down.
  13. i use the owner hook covers, but not because of the hooks scratching the baits. More about keeping my hardbaits organized and untangled. Also helps me avoid a random hook in the hand, finger or clothing every now and again. They can be slightly cumbersome at times, but i feel like i save time in the long run never having to untangle a pile of baits.
  14. Couple stops at a Walmart and DSG.... Then my TW order came in yesterday....
  15. no i don't think it's their fault, per my original post, it's why i came here and posed the question. however, i also don't think that such a quality bait would have popped like that with the little amount of force that was required to do so. crack maybe, but literally just pop the back off like that, no. i've no doubt that a big feisty fish could have exerted more force than this situation. i told them exactly what i posted here which was that i threw it into the rocks, not their fault, but that i didn't imagine it would resulted in the bait coming apart like that. perhaps they did take pity, i was just following up on my initial post and sharing my positive outcome of the situation.
  16. BPS is good for one thing = when they occasionally do the free shipping no minimum. Then i can get the handful of items i'd want from them. Cabela's also good for one thing = the bargain cave
  17. can you specify a little bit on where exactly in Atlanta? If you can narrow that part down, i can probably offer you a few suggestions that would be somewhat in your area of town.
  18. every time i think i'm ready to get into a kayak tournament, something else happens to remind me that i HATE drama.... seems like there's a ton of it in most of the kayak tournaments. I also think this is being blown up all over social media as yet another way for Chad Hoover to get people to adopt the KBS rules and pay their membership dues.... just my opinion though.
  19. 15lb big game, but i've also thrown it on 40# braid with no issues.
  20. i just fell out of my chair here at the office! nice setup!
  21. i had a sink for a couple years then sold that and bought a sot.... never once looked back nor regretted that move! if you're worried about getting wet though, it's going to happen, no way to avoid it really.
  22. i transported mine on a toyota camry with foam blocks and ratchet straps, no rack system. Transported that unit 1,000s of miles and never once had an issue.
  23. most of my topwaters are one of two colors.... white or black
  24. whoa this is a family friendly site!!!
