Eight Pounds
Thought this was kind of interesting. We had our club tourney this month down at Chic and it took 15 to win...Which was a good weight. I had second with around eight. What I thought was interesting was I had five fish for only eight pounds on Chic!! Three of those fish were spots though. But they saved the day.

High End Spinning Reels?
Daiwa 1300 SS.....has stood the test of time and it's a light and dependable. (just my two cents)

I tried something different today...
Football jigs have stood the test of time.....as well as spinnerbaits

Pills
Well......in order to fish what I like I'm trying to make some "Ned" style hooks in 3/16 with a light fiber weedguard. Didn't want to buy anymore molds so just used my old Pill mold and drilled a small hole in head and super glued 4 light fiber guards and along shank I layed a light stiff wire. Hoping the TRD's will marry with this. Have some smallies in 20' of water that need some love!! Time consuming for stiff old hands.

Rainbow trout following your lures
When I used to fish Lake Shasta I would use a small Rattle Spot from Cotton Cordell in the 1/8 size. Oh my gosh it was deadly on everything in that lake. Light line...long casts and violent bites.

Nice....we went up to Norris for the day....saw maybe a dozen "at least" Bald Eagles and caught quite a few small bass. Hadn't been up in quite a few months...(not big into the summer players up there) Was trying to get used to fishing a Ned Rig.....still trying

Dual Console
This has made me kind of smile. I have noticed being in a club and sometimes having other boaters ride with me that they really hide behind my Triton's console when up on pad...especially in cooler months. I wonder "why" they themselves do not have dual's as they must certainly realize that it's frikin cold and buggy ridding in a single!? I know it makes me not really want to go in other single's (not that most care probably) and that's ok....fish a lot by myself. Anyway.....my thought/question for the day. Tight Lines

How often do you lose deep diving crankbaits?
This is a good one

First time hair jig tying

How often do you lose deep diving crankbaits?
My favorite is Bill Dance knocker with the chains....rare day when I leave a crank in the lake. Also like to pour some 2 oz egg sinkers with a wire on end with a loop that i attach a duolock. Great for getting back plastics and jigs...not as reliable though....but works well.

Bass fishing video games
Remember back when golfing was first a video game....buddy came over as we were going fishing next day. Anyway...played golf till said it was time to go hit the hay and get ready for next day. The lights got turned off and the room was still light!!! We had played through the night.....#@!$...haven't done any videos to much since. But...good luck with fishing video's...they can be fun if can't get out.

Favorite lunch when fishing?
Type 2 also....got have the food. Sandwich of some kind....apple....banana if avail...granola bars...Arnold Palmers...maybe chunk of cheese...boiled eggs too if avail. Taking a bite or two gives me a chance sometimes to just look around and "Smell the Roses" as they say!!

Shocked and amazed
Well .... I did it. I used a lil Ned rig in a club tourney this last weekend and it helped me a ton. Put two keepers in the boat to give me a limit. One of the fish even culled another I had caught with a jig. Haven't tried this rig since spring as I had lost a toad of a smallie on it and was very disappointed. Tried two of the darker colors of the TRD's and no luck...went to a shad color and it was smiles. Maybe there's potential here for this bait. I realize one is going to loose fish...but figured there was a lot of ways to catch fish with out resorting to this bait. Oh....well...there's my confession. Tight Lines all

Working to Stay Lean ~
It's about quality of life for sure....it's amazing to me how many people spend so much time sitting and say they don't have time to at least go out for a walk. Nothing big...just a walk of 15 min or so. It has amazing healing powers. I've seen it a lot...but...for some reason it's one of the hardest things to do....taking care of one's self. Tight Lines

She still want's to fish w/ me though.

Working to Stay Lean ~
Well done A-Jay.....after having acute pancreatitus and developing many side effects I try to stay in shape also but not to the degree you have done...I walk a lot to keep the Type 2 down and poking myself with less needles. When I golf with wife I usually walk. Love hunting for golf balls in the hills....(this can be rough). Grand kids are still young at eight and ten but I can keep up with them pretty good at 67....hope I can for a few more years. Note:...Keep up the good work and enjoy

Never have hooked my gf/wife of 44 years. All I remember is every time I took her fishing it seemed to rain. (she did not like this) Last time so hard you could hardly see your hand in front of your face. So......basically she doesn't fish any more. But...she loves golf like I do fishing....so I golf (try) with her. Life is good
