BTW I was about to buy the exact speaker you have to use on the boat (already have the lifeproof case and the lifejacket for it). How do you like the sound out of it? Seems like the perfect portable speaker to take on a boat with you

I listen to music every day I am on the water... No problems with catching a lot of fish (obviously with the conditions and time of year) but even sight fishing Ive blasted dubstep while staring at 4 lbers and still catch them. Fishing is about enjoyment, if thats what makes you happy then do it. FWIW when I get behind in a tournament I always crank the tunes

Heres the way I have mine setup. There is about 6 inches between the end of that last battery and the sidewall of the compartment and its just bolted right into the side

I mounted mine to the side wall inside my battery compartment as high up as I could to get it out of the way. I can post a pic to show you

They do tend to fog up but only if you have your face in a balaclava which is tucked up inside the mask. If it is open underneath your fine. I absolutely love mine. One of the most useful gifts I have ever gotten actually and I always have it in the boat, even through the summer when the bugs get bad. Take one bug to the eye at speed and you'll never run around without something on your eyes again. One of the main differences between the Save Phace and a paintball mask is that the paintball masks tend to be vented all over the place which when running a boat lets tons and tons of cold air through. The Save Phace is solid stopping everything coming at it. Only downside I see to them at all is it is hard to hear when your at speed with one on from the air moving around it

What did you scrub them with? I understand soap and water, but did you use a brush? The hard stuff I have used a medium toothbrush which worked just fine, everything else I take q tips, dip it in rubbing alcohol and rub it with pressure over the spot. Almost every time it comes off. If none of the above take it off then you were in some seriously nasty stuff and I think you have worse problems than your reels if you were tubing in the stuff

Why do you pull the motor all the way up? I keep mine as low as possible at all times. Lets it pull better through the water and control better. The humming is normal but that will dissipate the further you put it in the water. Is it just that the water is so shallow that it hits when your skipping docks?

If you havent owned a pair I can see how you think this. Wear them for a few minutes and your eyes adjust and you would never know the difference, except that you can see more into the water and the sun doesnt hurt

Only time I ever found the fish in the fall to actually be ON bait is when the baits pushed up into the shallows, whether its from wind or the fish pushing them themselves. If this is the case throw a fluke up in there and hold on. Otherwise Im usually fishing ambush points. Bluffs, stumps, points, shoals etc. They love to stage on this lake around these depending on which direction the wind is out of. Fish with the wind and pull your bait the same direction. Anything going the opposite way usually goes untouched unless they are really in a frenzy.

Man, the fall bite just really turned on for me here. Few days ago I had 13 fish in 4 hrs with the biggest over 6lbs.. Jigs and cranks jigs and cranks. And yes the water temp was in the 50's and I was pretty freaking cold out there but nothing makes you forget about that more than feeling a jig bite

pH of Coke Classic is 2.5 And ya it can dissolve stuff but colas are some of the most acidic. Other sodas are not nearly that harsh. To the OP, if they got soaked then tear them down, if just on the outside, rinse and wipe dry then check for stickyness. Once thats gone your fine

If you keep trimming it it will start to bounce. I do it with my G3 tin boat. Same as everything you said, except once it gets on plane I trim it up until I start to bounce and then just tap the trim down until it flattens. I noticed keeping it right on that limit can get you an extra mph or even two (depends on wind direction)

Id rather it stay solid.. If it turns to mush it could turn into a gum and clog everything in your motor. Stays solid? Then you just have something floating around in there lol. I mean they put them as a sealer on the taps of the additives so Im assuming petroleum products wouldnt eat that much of it away

If it ate his lure its obviously not starving from loss of eyesight. I have caught many healthy bass either missing eyes or having them completely glazed over. Plus it doesnt look that way to me in the picture. To the OP, I have caught several fish that look exactly like that, some with sores as well, on all different waterways. My guess is that its some disease, but if it was able to be spread and kill a lake we would already know about it.

Id bet that it had nothing to do with it being "normal gas". Bad gas, dirt in the system, etc could have easily caused that problem but there isnt a motor out there that wont accept and run normally on normal unleaded gasoline.

Number one thing not to do with a fuel injected motor is to run the injectors dry. Thinking your doing the "right thing" can really really cost you..

I did place second in a tourny up there mid september.. Fish were in less than 2 ft on bait and then after dark moved deeper and fell to the dropshot.. The thing about this lake is you CANNOT stick to what worked before. Yes there are certain lures you can always seem to conjure up a bite or two but every day is different. That tournament not a single fish was caught on a lure that I caught consistent fish on up there before

Your fine. Go ahead and run it. I don't have an ethanol free station within 100 miles of me so I don't even have a choice. I would however, look into swapping your fuel lines to an ethanol friendly bulb and line to resist the ethanol eating it away over a prolonged period of time. Not sure of the year but all of the motors and boats now are made with those lines to cope with the issue. Also run Startron at the fillup to stop the ethanol attracting water and your good to go. Its really nothing to sweat about at all! Don't worry
