If You Have $200 To Spend, What Do You Buy?
If that is the case why not save the money for that Kayak or if you want to satisfy the monkey, then spend 100 bucks on lures and save 100 to put on that Kayak. Kayaks are great! Until I get the money to buy a bass boat this will suffice for now, even when I do get a bass boat...the Kayak will still be with me as it can take me to places where a bass boat can't get too or motors aren't allowed.

Keeping Bass Out Of Season
I wouldn't confront them but I would probably give them a look to at least say I don't understand? Depending though on who it is too, I'd also call the authorities on them if I can get their information. IE License plate..etc.

If You Have $200 To Spend, What Do You Buy?
It really depends on what your needs are. If it were me, I'd probably put dime on lures as I don't have a "need" for another setup right now. Plus that much money wouldn't really be my price range for a new setup, so another reason why I'd buy lures. (For me the very least I would want 300 for a new setup)So without really knowing what your arsenal is like, I really can't give you a solid recommendation.

Bass Pro Rods
I would 3rd the Carbonlite. If you can't wait, maybe try out the Abu Garcia Veritas for that price range. You can find them for 79.99.

Flukes Are Fun!
I caught my PB Smallmouth on one. I love flukes one of my go to baits.

Veritas?? For Worm/jig/plastic
Definitely fine for your uses. Check on youtube, plenty use them.

Cassion Vs. Cruicial
Or buy when they are on clearance.

Crucial Rods At The End Of Their Road?
Here is Shimano's warranty - I own a Shimano V Rod that is over 10 years old, I contacted Shimano because the reel lock was going bad, they said to send it in and they would replace it with a Crucial as a warranty issue. I didn't do it yet though because I love this rod, when the lock doesn't work I will probably replace it...but this thing is just the bomb. (G Loomis designed this rod for Shimano)

Contentment, I Think.
Totally.

Why Do People Use Right Handed Reels?
I'm left handed BUT!! For baitcasters the handle is on the right. For Spinning the handle is on the left. Of course this isn't the only sport I do the opposite for my dominant hand. Baseball - I can bat left and right - Make better contact right though. Golf - I play on the right side Badminton/Tennis..etc - Right Side

Thinking Of Buying Used Shimano Cumara
I passed up on other rods to get any Gen 1 cumara I can find. By far one of my favorite rods to use. Unfortunately I came late in the game and they were all gone.

Why Is Spinning Gear "funner"?
I will add though, I definitely like fishing a BC better than a spinning rod.

Lake Greeson And Little Missouri River - Shore Fishing
Hey everyone, hopefully someone can help me out. This weekend (May 16th to 19th) the family and I will be going to the Crater of Diamonds State Park (Murfreesboro, AR) for 3 days. Of course I had to scout around on Google to see if there are places I can slip away to do some shore bass fishing. Can anyone of you give me some ideas of where I may have a chance at some bass? Of course since this is the internet, I don't want anyone to post it here..send me a message via PM. I'm looking for some place close where I may be able to take my 4 year old boy too, who loves fishing too. Thanks for the help.

What Rods Should I Have On My Kayak?
MH/F is the most versatile rod in any arsenal because it sits between a Medium Fast and Heavy Fast. You can throw virtually anything on a Medium Heavy Fast rod, of course you should stay within the weight limit, but just as an example. My Medium Heavy Fast (Abu Garcia Veritas) is so versatile I can use it for spinnerbaits, jigs, swim jigs, weighted texas rigged plastics, frogging and flipping and pitching. (7'3" rod) Out of my 22 rods I own, 10 of them are Medium Heavy Fast and X Fast.

You Never Know How Much Fishing Helps........
Glad things worked out in the end and I totally agree. In 2012 I had lost my job too for 4 months, finances were tight...but fishing kept me sane. While searching for a job to keep myself from going crazy sitting there waiting for an interview call, I would go bass fishing. If it wasn't for this, who knows what it would've done for my stress level. Now I am grateful for the free time I had to fish as much as I did then, it helped me improve my abilities and to really cherish the time we have on the water.

Future Rod Arsenal. Thoughts, Opinions?
This nothing I can add, plus Grantman knows his Dobyns.

St Croix Tip Heavy?
The Avid's I owned in the MH version was tip heavy, but was still comfortable to fish with. The lighter powered rods seemed less tip heavy, the Avid 6'6" M/F is the only Avid I have left.

Please Educate Me On Finesse Baitcasters
Or Chronarch 50E, how low are you going to go for the finesse rig?

G-Loomis Gl-2 Spinning Rod Sensitivity
I use my GL2 893c as a jig and worm rod so no issues there, primarily though I've used it as my 1/2 oz spinnerbait/swim jig.

Building Rod Arsenal
You're missing a plastics rod, you can of course use the Crucial as your plastics rod and the frog rod as a pitching rod. Overall though you are on the right course. For your Powell Max, I'd probably use that as a hard/soft jerkbait rod or you can switch it up with the Crucial as they both are about the same. (Just going by the 3 power designation)

Shimano Chronarch
For the money I'd probably spend it on the Curado I. From all the reviews the Curado I has upgraded features over the Chronarch E. Having said that though the Chronarch E series is a smooth, tried and true design and is smooth and quiet.

What's More Important: Reel Or Rod?
In bottom contact I'll spend more on a rod than a reel. For all other areas I spend more on the reel.

G-Loomis Gl-2 Spinning Rod Sensitivity
Also to add the casting split grip/reel seats is awesome, it is my favorite thing about the rods. GL2 and GLX
