  1. My former partner (whom i still fish wish for fun) always blamed me for his lack of catching. Fishing used water, not fishing to his style were his usual excuses. He only uses brown cinnamon 4 inch senkos on any lake regardless of the conditions or time of year yet it was my fault lol. Even when i was in full t rig or jig mode i wasnt fishing to his style lol. Now he has a boat and fishes in the same club we used too as a boater...he is starting to catch on Love him like a brother but man lol
  2. Does your boater know you plan to bring seven rods? Will there be enough room for them? Seriously if you are a co-angler you gotta pack alittle lighter unless you are fishing buddy tournys. I know if you were a randomly selected co angler on my boat id be fine with seven rods until i tripped, got tangled in or was constantly moving your gear. Then we would be havin problems Talk to your boater before hand and find out his plans for attack...that way you can eliminate unnecessary gear.
  3. And they protect your eyes from UV and stray flying objects!
  4. Ive messed with the helios and the air...nice reels! Had a bit of a time tuning them but once i got em tuned they performed very nicely
  5. Usually four or so...unless im fishin a tourny
  6. Wow...cool vid!
  7. You will get many opinions on brand but most use a 7' MH moderate action rod I happen to use a loomis gl2 7' MH moderate. I think the rod is important but i also believe in ditching the stock trebles for a mustad or trokar. I love the 6xd but i hate the stock hooks lol
  8. ^^ been there on my home lake too lol Hit little lake the other day...struggled for a good bit. Bite was pp to ba at best. We did figure something out though...not tellin until after the tourny i have there coming up though lol

  10. Im gonna have one! Lol I love my chronarch ci4 but i want a curado i to go with it lol. Honestly i think the curado i is the best bang for the buck reel in shimanos lineup...
  11. I almost always have a LC pointer tied on...sure spring and fall are great jerkbait times but summer works too...depends on water clarity for me in the summer. If i can see over five feet ill mess with the jerkbait some to see what happens
  12. I did it for years as a kid with a medium lightning rod and a shimano symetre...even used mono...then braid started becomming more common and i went to 20lb fireline...worked fine
  13. Really depends on the lake for me But i usually like to fan cast a hollow body into and area a few times before i start workin my way down depending on cover or lack thereof The other day however i was all set to paralell steep bank with a frog then i saw a shad trying to escape something so i started with a 6xd...two casts later boom 4.5 pounder!...five mins later bang 4lber! My newest thing had been throwing a frog parralel to riprap...been workin pretty thus far
  14. 1 heavy jig or t rig 2 sk 6xd 3 hollow frog or sammy
  15. Ive used a lot of em over the years. Power pro and seagaur smackdown tournement braid are two of the best imo
