This! I have an eyecon for dropshots...and i have a premier. Both are nice rods but the eyecon is super comfy in the hand compared the premier which is nice as well. The avid is a d**n nice rod as well

Ive casted 20+ times into the same spot untill i ticked off he fish i knew was in there enough that she hit! Unless the fish are being super agressive.

I start throwing topwater once the bass begin to move up spawn...usually a sammy or spook. Noe that the weeds are coming up i have moved to the frog...both sammies and frogs work in open water and near structure too!

I used braid off and on with that reel for years...the braid is not slipping...plus i checked that first

Centrifugal force knows no axis....magnets dont either Now the spool might shift downward with gravity but i woulnd think it would effect the brakin system in any matter that you notice

I find it cooler for me to wear long sleeved uv shirts vice short sleeves and sunscreen I learned in iraq that it was cooler to cover the skin in most situations...those silly arabs were on to something years ago lol

I was fishing today and set the hook on a bass and spool just spun. So i checked everything and reset my drag. Same problem!. I locked the star down and i may have one or two pounds of drag total...sucks...that reel has been great to me for ten years!

Points near deepwater, rocky bluffs, and scan for suspenders near baitfish Bluebird conditions also tell me i need to investigate the lilly pads too!

I had to giggle at the guys that asked me recently how i was gonna load my boat by myself, as all three of them were loading thier jonboat. They were shocked when backed in parallel to them and drove my boat on, hooked it, and kept my feet dry and was up and out before they roped thier boat on thier trailor lol

I would probably own a shimano rod if they had cork! Then again i could buy a loomis lol All of mt loomis rods are pre shimano...i hate foam. No reason other than feel lol

My advice is to handle them both and see which one fits you best...
