  1. hey asshoss, do us floridians a favor and keep your mouth shut.
  2. i believe he said he was writing a F I C T I T I O U S story. try reading or looking up carl hiassen. he has written many FICTITIOUS novels about fishing, hunting. good luck with your story. i would love to read it when it is complete.
  3. the afternoon bite has been better from what i hear. i also heard that ida is red hot right now. how many guys you got at this point? i will see if i can get coverage (babysitter) for the time we fish. i like the afternoon better, but this is your gig. let me know what you come up with, and i will let you know my status as soon as i get word.
  4. what time are you thinking? why osbourne only? (just curious).
  5. thanks fellas. i am going the expeditor route. man did it suck not having it this weekend. you don't know what ya got till its gone.
  6. i cannot believe what just happened. i was fishing in a small lake by my house with a senko. i got a bite, set the hook and to my surprise my rod snapped 3 eyes down from the tip. this is my favorite and most expensive rod i own ($385). what do i do? i could see if it was a tarpon or something on the other end, but it was only a 3 pounder. what do i do? do i send it back to g-loomis? please help because i am completely bummed out.
  7. well said. thank god my hurricanes were on so i did not have to suffer through that mediocre (at best) commentary. you would think if ANY body would get it right it would be the nfl channel. the way they broadcast, the nfl will stand for not for long if they keep that crap up.
  8. thanks fellas. what is the lightest reel you guys would recomend for that rod?
  9. i just received my lunker punkers and my shell cracker swim baits and they look amazing. today i used the lunker punker and i was throwing it on an 8' telescopic flipping rod ( it is the stiffest rod i own) with my calcutta 250 w' 65# braid. my question is this: is there a rod i can get that is sturdy enough for those big baits and can i get one smaller than 8'? my forearm is so sore from throwing that thing for 4 hours. 2 fish 4 pounds each. thanks in advance.
  10. check your pm.
  11. Are you smoking crack? thanks bassin---- i spit coffee all over my computer. "no really good bass lakes" that is hilarious!
  12. great advice. i tore my acl and had what my orthopedic called a "bucket handle" tear in my miniscus. i had acl reconstruction and my knee is as good as new. the normal feeling that you are having right now is "normal" because the swelling went down. the only advice i can give, is if you do have a torn acl, make sure you find an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in acl reconstruction. i don't know what kind of insurance you have, but do yourself a favor and start researching orthpedics on your plan.
  13. this morning was refreshing down here lee. it was a chilly 67 in my truck this morning. the temps are expected to plummet tonight into the mid to high 50's. the high tomorrow is upper 70's. time to bring out the flippin sticks.
  14. right on vince. thanks for the spot on O. it was post front and brutal. 11 pounds won the tourny and unfortunately it was not me. i am glad you hooked some fish on kissimmee. i need to go to one of my gated communities today to redeem myself for the lackluster performance of my last tourny. again -----thank you.
  15. let me preface by saying that i have a 17' pathfinder flatsboat that has a small livewell that holds 2-4 dozen pilchards, finger mullet etc. when i fish in bass tournaments, that livewell is way too small. i have to use a portable livewell that is a pain in the butt to take in and out of my boat. i am considering cutting out the livewell that is in there now and replacing it with a much larger one. my questions are: 1. on a scale of 1-10 how difficult will this be? 2. does anyone have a diagram of how the plumbing works. i.e. i want to be able to pump in fresh water as well as fill the tank without using a bucket. 3. how many gallons would be sufficient to keep 5 (hopefully large) bass all day long in a tournament? please help. thank you in advance
  16. i love them. i have the golden shiner, chartuese shad, bluegill and they have all produced big fish for me. they haven't replaced my spooks (yet) but i use them because they make a totally different sound than the spooks. reaction innovations makes some seriously good baits!
  17. bill dance is the absolute worst when it comes to holding big bass the wrong way. i can't watch his show for this exact reason. he holds big fish horizontally while slapping their big belly---kills me. of all people he should know better.
  18. kevin, if you want to stay local, go to lox and fish the flats. holiday is closed because the water is in the parking lot--literally. do you have a boat or are you beating the bank? if you have a boat, i would go to the holy lands. there are some toads being yanked outa there.
  19. i fish with a guy who has one of those arc dehookers, and he has it strictly for mudfish. when i fish, i can usually tell a mudfish bite from a bass bite and simply let the mud spit it out.
  20. surfing. before i had my 2 beautiful kids, i would go on 2-4 surf trips every year. panama, costa rica, hawaii, nicauragua, barbados, mexico, outer banks of nc, california, bahamas, peru, and indo. man those were the days. i still surf regularly here in florida, but my BIG surf trip days are over---at least until my kids get that travel bug.
  21. i always receive my goods between 3-5 days. i love tackle warehouse.
  22. you shouldn't need advice after catching a 15 pounder! tell US how to catch a big one. where was this 15 pounder caught? just curious.
  23. with all due respect stick marsh grand wizard, mr. welcome is as good as it gets when stick marsh is concerned. if you don't know him or have never heard of him, then you my friend need to do some more research. No disrespect to Bocabasser but if he talked to the FWC and they said there was a fish kill who are you to tell him that he is wrong. i'm not telling him he is wrong, but if mr. welcome has not heard nor seen a fish kill, i would be willing to bet that there was not one.

  25. in a tournament i had 34 pounds 15 ounces. i had first big fish @ 8.6 and i had 2nd big fish with 7.15. i doubt i will ever duplicate that weight in a tourney, but man what a great day that was. every fish was caught on topwater.
