I don't understand the defensiveness from some older anglers. Nobody is arguing that older equipment doesn't work or hasn't caught fish. Not one person has made that statement. Abus, calcuttas, bantams and the orginal Lew's have a massive following for a reason, they work and continue to work. Nobody is arguing that shorter and older rods don't catch fish because they did and continue to. What people are arguing is that a blanket statement saying new gear is junk is wrong. Supporting newer gear does not automatically mean we all think old gear is ineffective or junk. Saying modern reels are smoother doesn't mean older reels aren't tanks. Saying newer rods are lighter and there is a greater availability DOES NOT mean you cannot or didn't catch fish on older rods.

And the countdown begins. People disagreed with you just like you disagreed with them. To call us defensive because of a disagreement is to me a truer act of defensiveness. The OP provided an opinion with reasons for his points. Your response came off merely as retaliatory. To then use military service as a "get out of jail free" card comes off as holier than thou. If anything, you should understand that you served to protect the ability to have very disagreement which you are now bashing others for. Rant over.

Well I believe the hd is meant for higher capacity applications along with a much heavier duty drag. The Zillion is a tank and has been around for a long time for good reason.

Not gonna lie, I barely if ever fully bash a product but the regular vicious Fluoro was THE worst line if I have ever used...large diameter compared to other line and almost unmanageable even with line conditioners... The pro elite is supposed to be better. I've used their mono and braid with no issue but would never recommend their low priced fluoro.

I have recently purchased two of their new custom speed sticks and they are incredible. Blow the weight of the new e6's out of the water. Sensitive, light and powerful. For $139 a pop they are an amazing deal. Apparently this is the first line with their own Rod designer. Try one if you can

I agree as I just received the 893 and found it to be unbalanced. Then again, I'm coming from Dobyns rods which have some of the best balance in the rod industry. As was explained to me, that long of a blank which is that light overall is going to make it tip heavy. still light enough for me though lol

Picked up my first about a month ago. Took it out yesterday but didn't catch a fish on it to have a comparison. I understand the benefits and it makes sense to me.

Since they went to China, I'm pretty sure their product has actually improved as opposed to when it was US made

Slack line sensitivity and abrasion resistance are why I love Fluoro. I love sniper and invizx but it's obvious how much they give. Shooter is the strongest and toughest I've used.
